Crypto betting has gone from an afterthought to a mainstream option almost overnight. With nearly 20% of global online gambling now taking place using crypto, it’s not hard to see why crypto betting sites have become so popular. Over here at EsportsBetting.com, we especially like crypto sites for their fast deposits and withdrawals. Below, I’ve selected and picked some of the best crypto betting sites with leading tech and practical features if you wish to try out betting with crypto.

The best crypto betting sites in 2026

What are crypto betting sites?

Let’s start with the basic mechanics. Crypto betting sites are similar to fiat sites in many ways, with wide selections of sports betting markets, the same as you would find on any other sportsbook. The only fundamental difference is that crypto sports betting sites are powered by crypto payments.

This means simply that you’ll be placing sports bets directly using a cryptocurrency of your choice, depositing using that same cryptocurrency and cashing out into a crypto wallet when you come to withdraw.

I will be exploring how this works exactly further down on this page. But first, a quick look to see why these sites are so hot!

Crypto betting – what’s all the fuss about?

Well, it offers anonymity, speed, and tonnes of other perks. Recent estimates suggest that the crypto betting market is worth upwards of $250 million.

Let’s look at the key advantages on offer, which are the following:

✅️ Online security

Most run-of-the-mill betting sites offer things like Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to keep you and your data protected online, but the best crypto sports betting sites crank things up a notch further.

As you’ve probably already heard, cryptocurrencies are underpinned by blockchain technology, which basically means transactions are super-secure and can’t be meddled with. They’re also completely anonymous – which offers you added privacy online. Read more about safety in our crypto betting guide on this particular subject.

✅️ Exceptionally quick transactions

Did you know that the fastest crypto blockchain, Solana (SOL), has a transaction speed of 3,000 TPS? No? Well, it doesn’t matter – all you need to know is that cryptocurrencies are fast.

From a betting standpoint, this means you can expect average crypto deposits and withdrawals to be processed much quicker than bank transfer, e-wallet, or credit card transactions.

✅️ Surprising ease-of-use

Many of the best BTC sports betting websites have been built from the ground up by people who are, let’s say, a little techy.

This means you can usually expect ultra-fluid usability, fast-loading betting slips and maybe even some state-of-the-art features you might not find with your average bookmaker.

✅️ “Provably fair” odds and games

Ever heard of “provably fair?” It’s the reason many budding and longstanding bettors alike appear to be flocking to crypto-friendly betting platforms.

In a nutshell, provably fair casino games or digitised sports-inspired games offer 100% randomised outcomes that can be verified for their authenticity via blockchain. This adds a whole new layer of legitimacy to such games and is one of crypto betting’s biggest draws.

✅️ Access to exclusive bonuses

All betting sites offer bonuses to new and existing customers, but more Bitcoin-centric sites often advertise exclusive crypto bonus offers, Dogecoin betting sites may offer different rewards.

This means that if you deposit using a preferred type of coin, you might be able to reap bigger rewards than other bettors playing using old-hat USD or EUR.

However, not all that glitters is crypto!

Be wary of these potential crypto betting downsides…

Getting used to how crypto works can be a bit of a learning curve for newbies, and there are considerations in terms of legality and volatility, too. Perhaps the three biggest things you ought to have in the back of your mind before you begin are:

⚠️ Crypto betting might not be legal where you live

Before signing up with any betting site, it’s absolutely vital to read up on the legal backdrop for sports betting where you live. For example, the UK and Malta both offer legal, regulated Bitcoin betting sites, while in the US, no licensed bookmakers currently accept crypto, and in nations such as Canada and Germany, it’s a bit of a grey area.

Wherever you live, make sure you do your research before you play – and don’t forget that the rules could differ between crypto casinos and crypto sports betting sites.

⚠️ Volatility is always a concern

Google “cryptocurrency” and “volatility” will probably come up as the next suggested search term. While crypto offers boosted privacy and speed over fiat forms of cash, the values of the likes of Ethereum betting sites, Doge and even Bitcoin are sadly known to be especially volatile and unpredictable – and you’ll need to factor this in when using such coins to play at online betting sites as part of a wider iGaming strategy.

⚠️ Options could be limited

Another often-overlooked con is limitation. Crypto iGaming platforms are relatively new and aren’t quite as mainstream as old-school betting sites yet. Now of course, having to choose from the newest betting websites around isn’t necessarily a bad thing – you can expect state-of-the-art features and better functionality than longer-in-the-tooth sites – but it does mean there aren’t as many options. So, you’ll have to choose your preferred site very wisely.

How to get yourself crypto betting-ready

As I said earlier, if it’s your first time playing at cryptocurrency-powered iGaming sites, you’re going to need to get your head around the following:

1. Set yourself up with a crypto wallet.

If you want to make crypto deposits and request crypto withdrawals with any betting site, you’re first going to need a crypto wallet. These function much the same as e-wallets like PayPal and Neteller, except you’ll be using them to buy, sell and store your preferred cryptocurrencies.

To find one that’s going to be a good fit, check out my Mbit sport review and other crypto casino sites reviews to see which wallets are most iGaming-friendly. MetaMask and Coinbase are classic reputable options. And you can usually set up most wallets via the following quick-and-easy steps:

What to Do 🥇How Long It Takes ⏲
Step 1Choose a trusted platform, download their app, register, and set up two-factor authentication (2FA).A few minutes, maybe?
Step 2Hook up a bank account, credit card, or e-wallet, search for your preferred crypto, and purchase some coins.5-15 minutes, max.
Step 3Once your wallet is stuffed with crypto, note down your crypto address and use this for deposits/withdrawals at your favorite betting site.Depends on the user.

This is on you – you’ll need to find an ideal betting site first, which brings me to my next point…

2. Find a suitable iGaming site from our comparison

Once you’ve set up a wallet and got your hands on some crypto, and possibly some crypto casino bonus rewards too,  it’s time to get betting. Use my trusted comparisons and brand reviews here at EsportsBetting.com, such as my Litecoin betting sites review to locate a betting platform that allows for gameplay in your preferred type of coin, then create an account.

3. Make your first deposit, and get betting

Once you’re in, you can use your crypto wallet’s address to send deposits to and request withdrawals from your betting site. Some brands might require Know Your Customer (KYC) checks or email verifications the first time around, which are usually fairly self-explanatory.

Author’s Notes: crypto betting offers ample opportunities, but might not be for everyone

by Archie Williamson

I’m personally a big fan of crypto betting. It’s fast, odds are good, and the sites tend to offer esports markets much more commonly than fiat sportsbooks.

However…

I’ve been using cryptocurrency for nearly 10 years – wallets and blockchain and all the major coins feel second nature to me. There is a barrier to entry with crypto that isn’t there with fiat. You probably learned how a debit card worked by the time you were 10, even if you didn’t have one yourself, and with crypto that just isn’t there. There’s no cause for everyone to pick it up as a part of life.

There’s also the elephant in the room – your crypto changes in value much faster than a dollar. If you use stablecoins then this mitigates a lot of that risk, but that’s another term you might not know, another barrier to entry. If I deposit $500 in fiat, then chances are a week later it’ll be worth between $499 and $501. With crypto you could lose 20 – 30% of the value of that coin. You could also gain it. It’s like gambling within your gambling.

If you don’t like the extra risk, if you don’t want to have money sat in a different place, or in a currency you can’t immediately use, then stick with fiat betting. It takes longer to get your money out, but it’s a simpler prospect.
