A Valorant Mobile beta is live, can you join?

The Valorant Mobile beta is finally arriving, but it comes with quite a few limitations.

Valorant Mobile was announced quite some time ago, back in 2021. Developers explained that it will be an entirely new game created specifically for iOS and Android products. While the maps, agents, and gameplay seem almost identical between mobile and PC, there won’t be crossplay available. Valorant fans have been curious to get their hands on the mobile version of Valorant, but it’s been taking quite some time.

Now, a Valorant Mobile beta is said to be on its way.

How to join the Valorant Mobile beta

Players can only join the Valorant Mobile beta test if they live in China. 

Chinese websites have registration for the Valorant Mobile beta, which is said to be coming this month. On September 6, it was reported that players could register with their Chinese citizenship ID and WeChat ID. After it was announced, the beta filled up within that hour. Clips from the beta in China have already surfaced.

Jealous Valorant fans are wondering when the Valorant Mobile beta will become available to players around the world. A global beta has not been announced yet. However, the Valorant console beta indicates that there will most likely be a global playtest before the game launches.

When is the release date for Valorant Mobile?

The exact release date of Valorant Mobile hasn’t been announced.

Fans believe it will be soon, since the console version of Valorant went through a few playtests, then came out shortly after a beta. Valorant Mobile was originally said to be coming in 2024 but it doesn’t seem likely right now. Valorant players feel the game is nowhere near a release date yet. Now it’s most likely coming out in mid-2025 at the earliest.

“Every time I get asked a question about mobile, I say yes we are thinking about it, and we are working on it. But then we got the license and so I think it’s pretty safe to confirm that we are working on Valorant Mobile, and it’s in development right now. What I can say is that we had a playtest a few weeks ago and I think it’s actually coming out incredible. It’s not ready to launch neither do we have a launch date yet,” said studio lead Anna Donlon during the 2024 Valorant Champions media day.

While Valorant expands to mobile, players are curious if Valorant will drop FPS in Unreal Engine 5 for a smoother experience.
