All the new Train map callouts to win CS2 games

Train has returned to CS2 with overhauled aesthetic and minor layout changes. While Train callouts mostly remain the same, it’s worth looking at updated ones to better communicate with teammates.

The iconic map Train, set in an abandoned railway station, has returned to CS2’s competitive queue. While veteran players might recall every nook and cranny like the back of their hands, newer players might benefit from brushing up on Train’s callouts. Valve has preserved the map’s core layout, introducing minor adjustments to B hallways and sweetening its overall aesthetics. The two-site map lacks a traditional mid area but compensates with numerous choke points that force CTs to carefully reconsider their strategies.

While Train is generally considered a T-sided map, it offers plenty of hiding spots for CTs to set up ambushes, maintain control, and play mind games with their opponents.

CS2 Train map callouts

The callouts for Train have changed slightly in CS2, but most of the classic areas like ivy and popdog are still as they were.

The Ts spawn in a rain-soaked area and have three distinct routes that function as alternatives to a traditional mid. To reach the B site, Ts are limited to a single path via T stairs, while the A site can be accessed through radio or main. On the A site, most callouts remain unchanged, except for camera, which ivy main has replaced. However, players haven’t settled for the callout for ivy main.

On the B site, scaffolding has been divided into two distinct catwalks. The section adjacent to highway is now referred to as upper, while the second part retains the name catwalk. The most notable changes are in the B halls, which have undergone significant alterations, including a new location for pop drop.

The ladder is now called pop, as the ladder leading to pop drop has been removed. In its place, Valve has introduced a new corridor connecting B halls to T spawn. This change gives Ts a more convenient route to the A site, but it also increases the time needed to reach the pop area. The next time a teammates says pop, just know they’re talking about old Train’s ladder.

These Train callouts should help players get familiar with the map and communicate with their teammates.
