Caps is the third Hall of Legends inductee, joining Faker and Uzi

Riot just announced Rasmus “Caps” Winther as the third Hall of Legends inductee. Caps follows Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao in receiving this distinction to honor the player’s achievements in League of Legends esports. Like his predecessors, he will be granted an event and three skins to his name in September.

Caps is the 2026 Hall of Legends inductee

For the 2026 edition of the Hall of Legends, Riot picked a European player as they’re cycling through the regions. Undoubtedly the best EU player in history, Caps ended up being the only choice. While Martin “Rekkles” Larsson and Luka “Perkz” Perković come close, no one has the accolades, the performances, or the mark that G2 Esports’ mid laner left on esports.

Among EU players, Caps is:

• The only player to reach two World finals
• Tied for most Mid-Season Invitational wins (at one)
• Part of the first team to reach World finals since the inclusion of the East in 2012
• Part of the first team to beat a Korean team in a Bo5
• The player with the most wins against the LCK (seven Bo5s, five Bo1s)
• The player with the most wins against the LPL (two Bo5s, seven Bo1s)
• The player with the most LEC playoff wins, with 17 trophies

Beyond finishers, Europe’s star mid laner plays like a legend. Despite having his share of bad days with strong ups and downs, Caps’ highs are among the best in the world.

Neither he nor the rest of his team believes in adapting to the opponent’s strength, as they will instead try to power through with their own qualities. Thanks to that mindset, G2 started finding their own way to play, to then not let go of it against China or Korea.

In 2026, Caps might potentially have the best year of his career. As of MSI, he holds a Bo5 win rate against the LCK of 3-1 in 2026, a never-achieved feat until now.

What Hall of Legends skins will Caps have?

Riot has not revealed the Hall of Legends Caps skins yet. These will be shown on August 24, and the 2026 Hall of Legends event will begin September 10.
