The LCS promotion tournament is actually hype
There's the LCS promotion tournament going on to see if DSG keep their guest spot for 2027 or if another team will take it from them. And Maryville University just beat them in that tournament. It's double elimination, so DSG can still fight back and MU still have 2 matches left to win, but it's the first time ever that a collegiate team actually beats a pro, tier 1 team in an official tournament. It'd actually be awesome to see a collegiate team join the LCS??
Also, MU's top laner Crimson is the brother of V1per and Sniper. It was already fun to see 2 toplaner brothers in the LCS, but we could have 3?

Oh my god they just won again, 3-0 against the best NA tier 2 team, the one that went to the WSCI quarterfinals
