Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has signed a contract with streaming platform Rumble. The deal may be worth more than some viewers believed.

Dr Disrespect was once among the most popular streamers on Twitch. His reputation took a hit after DMs between him and an underage fan came to light. Twitch permanently Dr Disrespect in 2020 but fans didn’t know why until earlier this year. This led to widespread backlash, especially once the streamer admitted it was true in a since-deleted tweet before exiting social media.

To the surprise of some viewers, Dr Disrespect returned relatively quickly after the controversy. Although the most popular platforms like Twitch and Kick did not offer the streamer a new contract, one aspiring platform did: Rumble. On November 25, 2024, Doc announced an exclusivity contract with Rumble. Recently, he shared just how much money he received from the deal.

Dr Disrespect hints at a $25 million Rumble contract

Earlier this year,  reports made the rounds online that Rumble had taken back its interest in the streamer despite the grooming scandal. Doc and the Rumble CEO had a back-and-forth on X that seemingly showed otherwise. At the time, Rumble’s CEO Chris Pavlovski said: “We have never declined to have Dr Disrespect on Rumble. It makes you really wonder what else these reporters are lying about in order to get clicks in Dr Disrespect’s name.”

On November 25, the move became official after Dr Disrespect shared the news on X. As part of the contract, Dr Disrespect received equity with milestones and he would become an advisor focused on building Rumble’s gaming section. Some fans wondered how much Rumble compensated Dr Disrespect for the new role.

During a stream on December 4, Dr Disrespect made some jokes that hinted at the contract amount. He said: “You ever get a flip phone call and on the other line was a $25— $250 million contract?”

He continued to joke with followers about getting a massive offer on the phone and then changing it to a fax machine. Doc added that he also got a fax that showed his loan was approved for a Lamborghini. It’s a running gag that Doc has a Lambo (that he’s even pretended to crash multiple times) and it’s another gag that he exaggerates amounts of money. If true, the deal is certainly better than the alleged $10 million offer he claimed to have received from Kick.

At the time, Doc said he’d only join Kick for $50 million. Once the reason behind his Twitch ban was shared, Kick co-founder Edward Kraven emphasized they would not sign Dr Disrespect in a Dexerto interview. The streamer has brought a sizeable portion of hardcore fans to Rumble. Whether the streamer can stick around without controversy remains to be seen.
