EMEA Masters 2025 Summer Swiss stage format
- 32 teams compete in a 7-round grand Swiss-system tournament.
- The first round will have every team battle in simultaneous best-of-one matches to determine which teams rank high and which rank low
- Teams that get four wins in the Swiss stage advance to the playoffs, while teams with four losses are eliminated
The 2025 EMEA Masters Summer Swiss stage may seem daunting at first, but it’s fairly straightforward. It consists of seven rounds, with the goal of each team being to win four matches. Most matches are played best-of-one, so teams only have to win one game to pick up series victory.
Each of the teams with three wins will then face each other in best-of-three matches. Winning a best-of-three match guarantees the winning team a spot in the playoffs, while losing one sends them to the next Swiss stage round, prompting them to repeat best-of-three matches until they either win one or are eliminated for losing four total Swiss stage matches.

Favorites to win the EMEA Masters 2025 Summer Swiss stage
There are a handful of teams that have a particularly strong chance of reaching the playoffs, including Los Heretics defending champion Los Ratones.
Los Heretics is easily the favorite to win the entire tournament, being the favorite in the Spanish championship and barely falling short in the Superliga Summer Split. Similarly, Los Ratones is a stand-out team that dominates most tournaments it faces thanks to the skill its roster of top streamers and professional players. The team has finished first in every tournament it has entered, including this year’s Winter and Spring EMEA Masters events, and it wouldn’t be surprising if it stomps the opposition here too.
Karmine Corp Blue is going into the tournament as another favorite to win, but there’s a chance it may struggle. Despite securing the LFL Summer and Winter titles, the team has been inconsistent in EMEA tournaments since it revamped its roster, barely cracking the top three in both the 2025 EMEA Masters Winter and Spring tournaments. While it’s going into the swiss stage after dominating the 2025 LFL Summer final against Gallions, it may be a bumpier road to the playoffs than most would likely predict, and that’s worth watching out for.

Best EMEA Masters 2025 Summer Swiss stage matches to bet on
Riding with Los Ratones and Los Heretics for every match the two teams participate in can lead to some high-confidence bets.
- Los Ratones has dominated every EMEA Masters tournament of this year, and with the gap in skill between the streamer-led team and other participating teams being so large, betting on Los Ratones to win every match it plays without giving up the Nexus even once in the Swiss stage may be a strong play.
- Los Heretics is understandably considered to be an extremely strong team, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it comfortably wins its first four matches to qualify for the playoffs.
- Despite not having many eyes on it, UoL Sexy Edition has seen slow and steady improvement throughout the year, and may be a good underdog team to side with in the swiss stage.
The large number of participating teams in the swiss stage may make things a little tough from a LoL betting perspective. Sticking with the event’s two favorites and our underdog pick may keep things easier for interested bettors.
