How to get an RR refund in Valorant after losing to a cheater

Ranked rollback in Valorant makes cheater-infested games less taxing, encouraging players to continue the grind with an RR refund after losing to cheaters.

Cheating is a problem that often drives competitive players away from Valorant. However, this newly announced feature, which is still under development, may convince those who logged out of Valorant due to compromised competitive integrity to give it another shot. Ranked Rollback grants you a full refund on the RR  lost while playing against a cheater. Riot has announced that it’s working on new features to combat cheaters, but until then, affected players will retain their RR.

“In the time leading up to the ban, players are losing their hard-earned RR to these cheaters, costing them the potential glory of ranking up. This sucks, so we are teaming up with the Valorant Competitive and Social Systems team on what we’re calling the “Ranked Rollback” feature.”

Here’s how to get RR refund after losing against a cheater in Valorant.

Players may get an RR refund in Valorant by reporting a cheater. If the cheater gets banned, the lost RR will be refunded.

RR deducted after losing a game against a cheater will be automatically added back to the affected accounts once the ban comes into effect. Since bans in Valorant rely heavily on player reports, it’s crucial to report suspicious players to Riot. The more reports filed against a suspicious player, the faster they’re likely to be banned, resulting in a quicker RR refund in Valorant.

This feature is currently under development, but it will soon become available. Until then, Riot is working on additional features to strengthen the existing anti-cheat. In response to the recent potential removal of kernel access for anti-cheats, Riot has revealed that it’s working on newer security features that would allow Windows to further secure the kernel from malware or exploitation.

All of this will drastically improve Valorant’s competitive environment. Riot has already noticed a surge in reports and bans due to the game’s popularity, and this new feature will further encourage players to the cheaters punished and get their RR refund in Valorant.
