Ludwig Ahgren recently discussed his streaming plans after his YouTube contract ends, and here’s why fans suspect a move back to Twitch.

Back in November 2021, Ludwig signed an exclusive contract with YouTube that had him leaving Twitch. He’d grown massively on Twitch over his three years on the platform thanks to his groundbreaking subathon. Still, he remained loyal to YouTube for the past three years. On YouTube, he’s reacted to game content, attempted speed runs, grinded various competitive titles, and interacted with his viewers with different challenges.

Ludwig’s contract with YouTube ends on November 30 and he announced that he plans to move back to Twitch the first week of December. He won’t be leaving YouTube for good, however. Ludwig explained that he plans to split his time between the two platforms. Ludwig expressed fond feelings for both platforms, stating there are positives to both YouTube and Twitch.

“I’m gonna be very candid, I don’t know what the split will be. And I say ‘split,’ because I am absolutely going to be doing some streams on Twitch,” Ludwig said.

So what will be his first move? Ludwig said that he wants to start his Twitch return with an event called League Week. This will feature Ludwig playing League of Legends for 100 hours. This is a way to take advantage of Twitch’s unlimited stream time since YouTube limits broadcasts to 12 hours.

And what will happen after the League of Legends streamathon? Ludwig admitted that he “doesn’t know” quite yet. He wants to take it a day at a time while he figures out what is best for his streams. While he did express some confusion over what platform he wanted to go with, Ludwig did add that there’s no way he will be joining Kick or Rumble at all.

Ludwig currently has 6.4 million subscribers on YouTube, but he could surpass this on Twitch. He had 3.1 million followers on Twitch before he jumped ship but he’s grown significantly since then, even appearing on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2.
