Match Breakdown
Contrasting closed qualifier finishes frame InterActive Philippines’ meeting with Amaru Gaming in Dota 2’s Division 2: Group B on 6 November. Both teams won their opening two playoff series, but Amaru went on to reach the South America grand final, while InterActive exited in the Southeast Asia lower bracket final.
Amaru won three straight series in its qualifier, beating Rottweilas Latam 2-1, Chandogs 2-0 and PlayTime 2-1 before losing 3-1 to Skyreavers in the grand final. That run accounts for three of its four wins in its last ten matches. InterActive has the stronger overall record across the same span, with six wins, although its two most recent matches ended in 2-0 defeats to Royal Bear and Xipto Esports.
InterActive had opened its closed qualifier playoffs by defeating Xipto 2-0 and Yangon Galacticos 2-1. Earlier in October, it also reached the grand final of the Southeast Asia playoffs, where Xipto won 3-0. Amaru’s qualifier run, meanwhile, followed a 2-0 group-stage win over Team Jenz in August.
