ILLYRIANS and Honvéd both opened Closed Qualifier: Series Group A with 2-0 wins, setting up a winners match on 5 November. ILLYRIANS beat Bebop, while Honvéd defeated megoshort, but their recent records show different patterns: ILLYRIANS have won four of their last 10 matches, compared with Honvéd’s seven.

The opening victory was a turnaround for ILLYRIANS after a 2-0 loss to Leo Team in the Series #13 Play-In on 3 November. They had also exited the Series #12 Playoffs in the round of 16, although a 2-1 elimination-match win over Fortress gave them a positive result in Series #13 Group D. Honvéd have won seven of their last eight matches, with their only defeat in that stretch also coming against Leo Team, 2-0 in the Series #13 Group A winners match.

Bebop offer another point of comparison: they eliminated Honvéd 2-0 from the Challengers Series Playoffs on 19 October before losing to ILLYRIANS in the current qualifier. The Group A plan also includes an elimination match between Bebop and megoshort on 5 November and a decider on 8 November.
