Ninja won't stream with women

Fortnite star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has once again shared the extent he goes to in order to avoid any scandals with women as a full-time content creator.

Ninja is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, known for his wild blue hair turned “low taper fade” and bringing streaming mainstream with cringe appearances in the Super Bowl and Times Square New Year shows. Despite his massive amount of fame in the gaming world, Ninja has largely stayed out of any drama, which can seem like a miracle. With big personalities facing accusations left and right, the family-friendly Fortnite fan has retained a squeaky-clean image.

In a marathon stream on July 23, Ninja explained his secret techniques for completely avoiding drama.

Ninja explains why he avoids women on Twitch

The past few months have been full of chaos and controversy for the streaming community. First, Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm was essentially canceled after he admitted to messaging a minor on Twitch, which explains why he was permanently banned all those years ago. Then, James “MrBeast” Donaldson’s popular co-host and long-time friend Ava Kris Tyson said she was stepping down from content creation after it was revealed she had inappropriate interactions with a minor.

As the drama continued, Ninja addressed it in a recent livestream.

“It’s f—ing simple. I don’t care who you are, I don’t care what you are, I don’t care what community you’re part of. Don’t talk to anyone underage. It’s not difficult. Just don’t do it. What year is it? How hard is it?” said Ninja.

In fact, Ninja even takes things a step further by not speaking to any women at all, even ones of legal age. He told his fanbase that he is never alone with a woman, even his own PR people. He’ll make sure someone else is in the room or else he will “instantly” leave the situation.

Ninja with wife

On top of that, Ninja won’t stream with women or DM them anywhere either.

“As for anyone else, I don’t DM anyone,” Ninja said. “I DM my boys. I DM guys in the community. There’s no private messages going on with any girls. If there are, it’s someone like Chica or people in this space. And then I let my wife know. If I don’t know you, I’m not DMing you. I don’t wanna get to know you and find out you’re only seventeen.”

Viewers responded by calling him a “boomer” but also understood why he took such extreme measures. A lot of fans called his actions a “W” and even called him an “idol” for his respectable viewpoints.

This is not a new take for Ninja, however. In 2018 he faced backlash for admitting that he won’t stream with women. While many called him out for being sexist, Ninja stood his ground on the matter. Ninja’s stated reason for not streaming with women was to avoid drama, gossip, and disrespecting his wife.
