PirateSoftware kicked OnlyFangs

Jason “PirateSoftware” Thor Hall faced the wrath of the WoW community and OnlyFangs members after two level 60 players seemingly died in part because of him, and now he has been kicked from the hardcore streamers guild.

Drama in both World of Warcraft and streaming is common, and guild members butting heads is the norm. Some viewers claim this latest drama is all for the content, and the community thrives on it. One of the most viral OnlyFangs exchanges has been the beef between Jaryd “summit1G” Russell Lazar and Thomas “Sodapoppin” Morris because of a cheater in the guild.

That was added to when PirateSoftware was blamed for the deaths of two high-level OnlyFangs members. The backlash towards Pirate was massive and it even led to the streamer receiving alleged death threats. On January 15, the drama took a new turn when PirateSoftware was kicked from OnlyFangs.

Sodapoppin kicks PirateSoftware from OnlyFangs

Sodapoppin shared on the OnlyFangs Discord server that he has decided to kick PirateSoftware from the guild because of drama involving Sara and Snupy’s character deaths.

In his message, Soda stated that most guild members didn’t want to play with PirateSoftware and others were uncomfortable around him because of the ongoing drama. Sodapoppin clarified that not everyone felt this way, but a significant enough number of people did.

PirateSoftware gkicked OnlyFangs

The WoW streamer claimed he thinks he’s making the right decision primarily because of Pirate’s reaction to the situation. He explained he reached this conclusion after seeing the clip where Pirate again committed to his being right in his decision to not help his guildmates and leading to their deaths. Soda went on to say he feels bad for kicking Pirate but that the WoW community should try to let this thing “slide into forgetfulness and move on.”

The WoW hardcore community was quick to react to this latest development and many supported Sodapoppin for his decision. Fans claimed that all PirateSoftware had to do was take accountability to avoid being removed from the guild. They alleged that Pirate just isn’t compatible with the guild’s membership and that the situation was handled poorly.

Pirate had repeated his stance and called out OnlyFangs for allegedly being a content guild built on hate. The content creator also claimed that streamers in the guild want to cause problems with him.

PirateSoftware responds to being kicked from OnlyFangs

PirateSoftware reacted to Soda kicking him from OnlyFangs and said that this was a “cool way” for the guild to handle the situation.

In a tweet, Pirate shared a screenshot of Soda’s message about kicking the former from OnlyFangs. The streamer captioned the image with “Cool way to handle it. Well done OnlyFangs.”

PirateSoftware is known for not mincing words, so this relatively mild reaction surprised some fans. The streamer will likely respond to his removal from the guild in greater depth during a stream at a later time. Some fans joked that the former Blizzard employee would contact the company to ban the guild, as he had raised his time spent with Blizzard as a reason for others in-game to be wary of him and ability to report people “directly to Blizzard.”

When called out for potentially contacting Blizzard employees directly about the situation, Pirate claimed that he had only been reporting those players who were sending him death threats.
