Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 was released on May 1, 2018, and while the game has grown, many still fondly remember this as the game’s peak.

For many, this was considered the golden age of Fortnite, where players were still discovering the game for the first time. Season 4 introduced the third battle pass of the game. It was a superhero theme, featuring skins like Carbide and Omega. While these old skins are a rare sight today, they remind players of a time where Fortnite was undoubtedly the king of gaming. Sttill experience exponential growth, Fortnite developed into a household name along with major streamers like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Turner “Tfue” Tenney.

When did Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 come out?

Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 came out on May 1, 2018, and remains one of the best-remembered Fortnite seasons in the game’s history.

Along with a new battle pass filled with iconic skins, Season 4 brought the first-ever in-game Fortnite event Rocket Launch. The event featured a missile that every player could watch fly up into the sky before crashing back down. Rocket Launch left a massive crater on the map named the Crack. This might not be the most impressive event in Fortnite history, but it still holds a special place in every player’s heart. It paved the way for today’s massive map evolution events and virtual concerts.

Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 also introduced many iconic weapons and items. Hop Rocks, Shopping Carts, Jetpacks, and Bouncers all debuted in the iconic season. Grinders probably have maligned memories of the overpowered Drum Gun. Many mechanics introduced in the patch remain in the game to this day. Season 4 also added special Fortnite battle pass bonuses like the Omega challenges, which rewarded pieces of a unique skin throughout the season.

Epic surprised fans in Season 4 with the inclusion of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars. Ahsoka Tano remains a popular skin among Star Wars fans even after several other crossovers have entered the game.
