Who is banned Kick streamer Konvy? Controversy explained

Steven “Konvy” Garcia is a controversial streamer with a long history of Kick bans, and the timeouts have prompted him to stream on a new platform.

Konvy is a 21-year-old Just Chatting streamer who often makes IRL streams. He started his streaming career from Twitch but eventually switched to Kick in 2023. He currently has more than 153,000 followers on Kick and 164,000 on Twitch, thanks to his hot takes and viral content on X. However, he’s been banned multiple times on Kick for the same reason. Konvy is not a new name in streaming by any means. The streamer has close ties with Kick’s part-owner Adin Ross, but his connections aren’t helping him.

After several bans, with the most recent one in October, Konvy has again found himself in the same spot.

Is Konvy’s Kick ban permanent?

According to Adin Ross, Konvy’s Kick ban is for an “indefinite period of time,” so it is most likely permanent. He was banned once before on October 1, but his channel was reinstated after 24 hours. Butthis time, he may be gone for good.

Konvy has a long track record of controversial actions that have repeatedly gotten him banned on Kick. His previous ban was for allegedly threatening his channel’s VIP badge holder with violence. Before that, he was suspended after a stream in which he engaged in hateful conduct against the LGBTQ community. In April 2024, he was banned after streaming audio from a soccer match on Kick. Even when not banned, Konvy often found himself in hot water for making problematic comments about other streamers and women during his broadcasts.

However, his most recent one will keep him banned for a “long time,” according to Adin Ross. The streamer confirmed that the ban was due to a statement involving a minor that he made on the livestream. During his October 14 stream, Konvy engaged in inappropriate conversations with minors on the Monkey app. After this video went viral, Konvy’s channel was gone from Kick.

Konvy has acknowledged the lengthy ban but plans to return as soon as Kick lifts it.

“Banned for a while, I wanna thank the kick staff for looking out, I understand what I did was completely wrong & going to make sure it won’t happen again ! See you soon” said Konvy.

Where does Konvy stream now?

Konvy now streams on Twitch, a platform known for having even stricter rules than Kick.

Konvy is now doing Just Chatting content on the purple platform to his 164,000 followers. So far, he has managed to stay out of trouble, but given his history of controversial behavior, many are wondering how long it will last. With Twitch’s stricter guidelines, one slip-up could lead to another ban, making his future on the platform uncertain.
