In capable hands, Vyse can defend any site, but there are a couple of maps where she truly dominates.

Revealed to be the last agent to be released this year, Vyse enters the roster as the sentinel. Armed with the power to manipulate metal, she turns bomb sites into deadly traps, punishing anyone daring enough to challenge her domain. She has an indestructible wall that activates when an enemy crosses, a deployable flash she can activate at her whim, and a molotov that slows their movement while dealing damage. As for her ultimate, anyone caught within the area gets their primary weapon locked away, basically leaving them defenseless.

Like other agents, Vyse performs better on specific maps where her abilities truly shine. Here are the top Valorant maps to make the most out of Vyse’s kit.

What are the best maps to play Vyse on?

Vyse is best on maps with tight corners and narrow lanes, leaving enemies with no room to avoid her traps, so Split, Sunset, Bind and Ascent suit her best.

Split

Split’s narrow and confined pathways make it a map where Vyse can excel. Regardless of which site she controls, her traps are nearly guaranteed to catch enemies, and the map’s cramped design leaves them with minimal escape routes.

The path from the entrance to the plant site is quite small, so setting up effective defenses can be easy. Additionally, placing a wall in mid can either obstruct pushes or reveal hidden opponents. The map’s tall structures also provide excellent spots for her flashes, making it difficult for enemies to spot them and giving Vyse more value for her abilities.

Ascent

Ascent is among the most balanced maps in Valorant, and Vyse loves it too.

The map features a blend of close-quarters and long-range engagements, but all entryways to the sites are narrow. Locations like A site, A cubby, mid, and B site have tight chokepoints, making it easy for Vyse to eliminate anyone caught by her wall, especially with her trap in play. For attackers, Vyse’s abilities are equally effective. Given how common slow plays and default strategies are on this map, her flash can detect enemy positions and provide crucial intel. The best part is that, her flash regenerates, meaning it can still be used until the end of the round. Meanwhile, her wall can alert her team to potential flanks, keeping everyone on their toes.

Bind

Just like Split, Bind is packed with tight corners that can be a real hassle, especially if someone’s hiding with a shotgun.

Vyse can make these spots even more dangerous with her wall that isolates enemies, a molly to slow them down, and a flash to blind them. Players can get creative by placing traps at chokepoints or in sneaky spots. For example, putting up a wall at the entrance to hookah, garden, or lamps forces enemies into a cramped space. Combine that with Brimstone’s ultimate or a shotgun, and getting a kill is almost guaranteed. It’s worth noting that Vyse’s ultimate can cover both A and B sites quite well.

Sunset

Out of all the maps in Valorant, Sunset might just be Vyse’s best playground so far. Whether she’s on A or B site, she’s sure to give the enemy team a hard time with her setups.

On A site, Vyse can position her wall near A main and link, elbow or even inside the bomb site. No matter where she places it, enemies caught by the wall have to face Vyse and her team head-on, with Razorvines and flashes scattered around to make their lives even harder. As for B site, rushing in through B main is not going to be easy. Vyse can position her wall at the entrance of the B site, and anyone unlucky enough to get into the site while their team is walled off will instead face her setups. By placing two Razorvines across the middle of the B site chokepoint and default, she covers almost half the site effectively. Enemies will be stuck and exposed to allies from either site, backsite, and even market. Paired with a flash, there’s really not much they can do about it.
