Why the market favors Anyone’s Legend

Anyone’s Legend has been a top team in the LPL Split 3. However, any achievement they might reach is eclipsed by the existence of Bilibili Gaming. BLG is far ahead of anyone else in the LPL, and whoever wins the lower final would need to pull off a massive upset to defeat them and claim the title.

Against them, Invictus Gaming came into the playoffs with only their name as their claim to fame. Demoted to Group Nirvana as they lost in the Split 2 play-in, they bounced back with the return of their star players but still couldn’t beat Ninjas in Pyjamas in their group. Three matches later, they now also have the momentum and the fact that they suddenly are a top three team.

Kicking off 2026, Kang “TheShy” Seung-Iok and Song “Rookie” Eui-jin went inactive. As a result, Invictus Gaming fell further and further from grace. IG went from qualifying for Worlds to dropping to group Nirvana for Split 3.

The return of TheShy and Rookie

However, they returned at the start of that split, and the team became the fearsome IG once more. Despite the limited practice that Group Nirvana offers and their two losses against NiP, they took Group Ascend by storm in the LPL playoffs.

Invictus Gaming has to play the entire event through the lower bracket. Determined to win, they’ve already beaten ThunderTalk Gaming, Top Esports, Team WE, and LGD Gaming. Only AL and BLG stand in their way.

Now, the problem is that Anyone’s Legend is not on the same level as the teams that IG has beaten. IG has taken care of the lower half of the LPL, with their strongest competition thus far being Top Esports, a team that’s notorious for their inconsistency.

Going by current form, the bot lane strongly favors Invictus Gaming. Zi “JiaQi” Jia-Qi has had a great split and Tian “Meiko” Ye has shown sudden improvement. Mid and jungle can go either way, and the jungle favors AL. All in all, the market favors Anyone’s Legend as a top Ascend team, while IG makes a case with the momentum against weaker teams.

What traders are saying

Users on Polymarket are commenting on LGD’s weakness rather than anything about IG. On Reddit though, people mostly believe that Invictus Gaming can beat Anyone’s Legend in their respective current forms.

Our prediction

Prediction: Invictus Gaming to win

There’s a reason the market-implied chances are so close to even. However, the momentum that IG has given them a clear advantage, while AL is freshly coming back from a rough loss against BLG. If the Invictus bot lane can keep doing what it did while their mid and top side hold the fort, the win is theirs.
