Cloud9 vs LYON match analysis
The C9 vs LYON match-up will be dictated by a couple of variables. First off, Inspired came back to the roster during the last week, after the team played four matches with Jonathan “Armao” Armao.
Theoretically, this should be a big upgrade for the team. While Armo was fully capable, LYON as a whole played much less cautiously with him, as Inspired notoriously is the shotcaller of the team. LYON’s series against FlyQuest in the first week of the split was the most drastic example of it.
On the other hand, there’s a risk to this as well. Inspired has only flown back to NA in week 5, during which LYON didn’t play. In only one week, there’s a chance that the roster hasn’t rebuilt its synergy properly, and that the jungler himself is rusty.
Barring that concern, Inspired usually has the upper hand on Robert “Blaber” Huang in important matches. When it comes to the regular season though, this isn’t so one-sided. Cloud9 is notoriously better any time they aren’t playing an international qualification match. However, their last regular season match didn’t favor C9 by much either.
On top of it, these games will take place in a stadium, which replicates the playoff conditions more than regular season ones. This, too, can go against C9’s chances.
The one last element to this equation is Cloud9’s new roster. Initially looking as unconvincing as possible, C9 ended up turning around with their new members. Lee “Loki” Sang-min makes Blaber play differently, as Edward “Tactical” Ra also changes the bot lane match-up against the best ADC in NA. The question is whether Blaber will fare better against Inspired now that he’s with a new mid laner.

Cloud9 vs LYON betting picks and predictions
Considering all the new factors coming into this match-up, there’s no way to make a safe bet. However, LYON remains more likely to take it considering everything. Even if they faltered against Sentinels, they will still be revitalized by Inspired’s return.
Best picks
- Total games over 2.5: The matches between those two teams usually end in three games, as they have enough strengths to show and weaknesses to fall on.
