FragPunk’s intel gatherer Kismet: Abilities explained

FragPunk’s popularity has increased exponentially thanks to its unique characters and abilities, and the intel gatherer Kismet is a great example.

FragPunk is a free-to-play 5×5 shooter with a 2025 release date. While the game is in a closed beta, players worldwide have tried to get their hands on the invites because of its popularity. FragPunk introduced its innovative shard cards that modify and transform the matches completely. In addition, the multiple playable characters of the game have received much love from players. Especially the mushroom medic Pathrojen who is also the game’s only healer. Another interesting hero on the roster is the intel gatherer Kismet.

Kismet’s scouting abilities explained

Kismet was a sheltered girl who grew up into a wayward wanderer, and her abilities are meant to help everyone in the squad.

Kismet’s kit revolves around gathering intel and reconnaissance on enemy targets. Her abilities help her strategically plan and outmaneuver opponents. While Kismet is a strong hero, players need to grind and adjust to her abilities to use them to their full potential.

Kismet’s first ability is the most obvious given her role in the team. Players can use Kismet’s Hello, Goodbye ability to generate a full frontal scan of all nearby enemies. While the scan has a short detection range, it can scan through walls. The ability should be most useful in detecting opponents hiding around corners.

The second ability of Kismet is an explosive that deals damage to enemies regardless of barricades. Players simply throw a grenade at opponents and it’ll deal 100 damage while ignoring any barrier the enemy is using to protect themselves.  The Misery Angel ability can be useful when players need to take out enemies that are well-hidden and can’t be defeated in other ways.

Lastly, Kismet’s most powerful ability that makes her invincible is the Walk on the Wild Side. While the ability lasts for a limited time it makes the player invisible and they can easily surprise unsuspecting enemies. However, there is a drawback to this powerful ability as players won’t be able to see enemies while the ability is activated.
