Dr Strange Master Of Black MAgic Skin Razer Giveaway

The Doctor Strange Master of Black Magic skin in Marvel Rivals stands out mainly because it’s one of the few cosmetics with multiple unlock paths. Players could get it through limited promotions, or they can still grab it permanently from the in-game store. Here’s another way to unlock it.

Claiming the Skin Through NVIDIA GeForce Rewards

Doctor Strange’s Master of Black Magic skin is currently free through the GeForce Rewards program. To qualify, you’ll need an NVIDIA GTX 10 series (or newer) graphics card and the NVIDIA App installed.

Inside the app, head to the Redeem section to check if the promotion appears for your account. Once claimed, you’ll get a redemption code to use in Marvel Rivals.

  • Deadline: September 18, 2025, at 6 a.m. PT
  • Limit: One per account
  • Note: Availability may vary by region, and supplies are limited.

Earlier in 2025, Razer ran a campaign where the skin was bundled with select purchases and giveaways on its community platforms. That event ended on May 19, 2025, so this option is no longer available

Purchasing the Skin in the In-Game Store

For players who cannot access the NVIDIA reward or missed the Razer campaign, the Master of Black Magic skin is still available for purchase in the in-game cosmetics tab. It costs 600 Units, providing a permanent option to unlock the skin even after special offers have ended.

But, at the end of the day, the Master of Black Magic skin is essentially a recolor. It doesn’t add anything beyond visuals, so spending 600 Units on it may not feel worthwhile unless you’re a completionist or a Doctor Strange main. If you really want to invest in a Doctor Strange cosmetic, the better picks are the premium skins like Sorcerer Supreme of the Galaxy or the Multiverse of Madness. These premium ones that are always on sale cost between 1,200–1,800 Units and come with more detailed designs and effects.

While at one hand players debate whether a simple recolor like Master of Black Magic is worth the cost, Marvel Rivals has also been facing bigger conversations around cosmetics. Creative Director Guangyun Chen recently spoke out on the design of Psylocke’s skins, pushing back against claims that the game leans too heavily into fan service.
