New Marvel Rivals Season 4 Battle Pass: New skins and community reaction

Marvel Rivals season 4 is slated to go live on September 12th. With all the hype for the upcoming season, Marvel Games has been slowly announcing more details about the season. Within the announcement trailer, we have already seen the new hero, Angela. In a post on their social media platforms, Marvel Rivals has announced all the skins in the upcoming Season 4 Battle Pass. Let’s take a look at all the details and the opinion of the community on it.

What’s in the new season 4 battle pass?

Each season of Marvel Rivals introduces a new Battle Pass within the game. This Battle Pass consists of various in-game cosmetics that players can receive. Some of these cosmetics are free, while some can only be obtained if the paid version of the battle pass has been purchased. Typically, each battle pass offers over 10 skins to unlock. The cost of the Season 4 Battle Pass is 990 Lattice.

Unlike the skins available in the store, many of these skins aren’t of the highest rarity. Some might not receive exclusive VFX and MVP animations as well. Players can unlock all the cosmetics in the battlepass by gaining XP. The Season 4 Battle Pass will be available to purchase from September 12th. In the Marvel Rivals Season 4 battle pass, there are a total of 10 skins. Below is a list of all the skins in the battle pass:

• Luna Snow: Abyssal Glow
• Winter Soldier: Winter’s Veil
• Star-Lord: Starlit Outlaw
• Captain America: Golden Age (free)
• Hawkeye: Old Man Hawkeye
• Doctor Strange: Astral Wanderer
• Phoenix: Dark Phoenix
• Loki: Immortal Firebird
• Magneto: The Trial of Magneto (free)
• Moon Knight: Moon Knight Mech

The Captain America: Golden Age and Magneto: The Trial of Magneto skins will be available for free. Interestingly, these two skins are majority inspired by the Marvel Comics. Many would recognize the Captain America: Golden Age to be very similar to his first suit in the Marvel Comics and the Captain America movie.

Community reaction to the new battle pass

Interestingly, the Marvel Rivals subreddit is split. A majority of fans are happy that the two skins they would want from the battle pass are for free. Redditor User A_Familiar_Straw_Hat said:

On the other hand, the community has criticized the themes of the skins as being very random. Many feel it doesn’t match the themes of the two Marvel Rivals heroes and the new map added to the game. In the previous season, we saw the entire theme of Battlepass skins centered around Knull and the Symbiotes. Reddditor EvenBeyond shares the following thoughts:

Interestingly, the community is happy with the new battle pass, but a lot of them won’t be paying for the premium version. Instead, they are open to playing the game to a point where they can unlock the skins from the past.
