Can Team Vitality defend its MLBB Women’s International crown? MWI preview

The MLBB Women’s International (MWI) 2026, the biggest edition of the tournament to date, has a clear favorite to win—and it’s Team Vitality.

Team Vitality’s female MLBB roster was acquired from Bigetron Era, and they have been competing together since 2022. Comprising Michelle “Chell” Siswanto, Cindy “Cinny” Siswanto, Venny “Fumi” Lim, Viorelle “Vival” Chen, and Vivi “Vivian” Indrawaty, they are by far the most decorated roster in female esports.

In fact, in 2022 and 2023, the team won all 14 tournaments it competed in. 2024 provided the first real shock to the roster after they finished second at the MWI 2024, falling to Omega in the finals.

The team comes into the MWI 2026 after signing a historic contract with Vitality until 2030.

Last year, Vitality won the MWI without dropping a single game. Their recent performances give a hint as to whether that can be expected this time around as well.

The most recent all-female tournament they competed in was the Battle of Gamerhers Season 2. The tournament had one slot up for grabs at the MWI; however, Vitality had already qualified as the defending champions.

Despite the lower stakes, the team didn’t falter. They won the regular season without dropping a game.

In the first match of the playoffs, they faced Falcons Vega, a series they won 2–0.

In the subsequent match against ONIC Pertiwi, they lost the first game. This rare loss showed that the team is not completely indestructible.

However, despite that loss, Vitality went on to close the series 3–1 before beating Falcons Vega in the grand final 4–0.

Therefore, there is little reason to believe that they will perform any differently at the MWI 2026.
