Team Liquid vs FlyQuest: Best odds for the LCS Summer Split
Team Liquid and FlyQuest both belong in the top four of the LCS. While TLAW should be a better team, FLY has proven that they’re within striking distance and that they can take a match off them just as well. Those two teams are in a heated battle for the top two alongside LYON and Cloud9, aiming to secure the playoff bye. So, here’s our prediction for TLAW vs FLY in the LCS Summer Split.

Team Liquid vs FlyQuest match analysis
FlyQuest happily leaned into the bot lane mages meta. Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek has been fine playing any sort of pick, without being restricted to traditional mages either. Alongside him, the rest of the team typically plays with two diving bruisers, and another AP carry in the mid lane. With that, a lead anywhere can quickly translate into a global snowball.
Against them, Team Liquid has played to catch the fight attempts, and to stabilize. Cross-map and responses are the name of their game more so than their own aggression. Eventually, Sean “Yeon” Sung reaches a point where he becomes unstoppable, and TLAW takes over the game.
At the same time, Brandon “Josedeodo” Joel Villegas and Lim “Quid” Hyeon-seung are playmakers as well. The jungler is known for his Lee Sin, and Locke has allowed Quid to add one more assassin to his list of melee mids to respect.
Team Liquid can also play aggressively, but they’ve so far preferred opting into a game plan that lets Yeon take the lead. It’s likely that they’ll keep going for that against FlyQuest, but they can also match their style. However, FLY’s jungle picks of fighters like Shyvana might overpower lighter bruisers like Lee Sin.
Overall, TLAW is a more stable team. Additionally, they keep growing since the start of the year when they were just the scrim gods. So far, they’re currently a top two team and should be better than FLY.
