Team Spirit vs NaVi: IEM Cologne CS2 betting odds, tips
Team Spirit looks like it may be able to recapture its spot at the top of the Counter-Strike 2 esports landscape in IEM Cologne, but it will need to get through NaVi in order to do so.

2025 in Counter-Strike has been defined by the dominance of Team Vitality. In many ways, that has come at the direct expense of Spirit. The Russian team won the 2024 Shanghai Major and IEM Katowice 2024, and remains among the best in the game today. That’s largely been forgotten about as Vitality has rolled from tournament to tournament claiming trophies. That could change in Cologne, assuming it can get through NaVi.

Team Spirit vs NaVi in-depth team, match analysis
From a purely statistical perspective, Team Spirit has looked extraordinary in 2025. Its win-loss record is extremely good. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is among the highest-rated players in Counter-Strike and even if he’s having a good-but-not-great game, Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov has been putting up some exceptional numbers of his own.
It’s a winning formula, but it’s mostly translated into winning bronze medals in 2025. So how have teams been able to beat Team Spirit? It’s effectively a two-step process.
First, teams need to be able to shut down sh1ro. donk can frag out even in the most dire circumstances but he can’t win a game solo. Second, they need to have someone that can match donk’s firepower directly. Vitality’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Falcons’ Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov are the most obvious example, but MOUZ has been able to beat Falcons multiple times with different players stepping up into that spot.
So can NaVi pull this off?
From a strategic perspective, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen is one of Counter-Strike’s most credentialed IGLs and while he hasn’t been able to consistently bottle up sh1ro, he has been able to do it in the past. As for firepower, newcomer Drin “makazze” Shaqiri ran wild in NaVi’s upset win over The MongolZ but it was Mihai “iM” Ivan who stepped up in the team’s last win over Spirit.
NaVi can potentially pull off a win here, but make no mistake. It’d be a big upset.

Map pool
- Team Spirit has a strongly winning record on all the active duty maps that it plays on. Dust 2 and Train in particular are their best, with an 87.5% win rate on either map.
- NaVi has been good on Inferno and Mirage, while it’s also off to a strong start on Train. The team has been underwhelming on Dust 2 but has a decidedly losing record in 2025 on Nuke, going 2-6 so far.
- Spirit’s permaban this year has been Inferno and that’s seemingly still the case, as the team played on Overpass in Cologne against MOUZ.
- NaVi’s didn’t have an actual permaban but it’s unclear how the team is approaching Overpass.
- NaVi has an on-paper advantage on Train, as Spirit has a comparatively low 8-6 record there so far in 2025.

Team Spirit vs NaVi betting picks and predictions
Everything on the points to a pretty convincing win for Team Spirit, and rightfully so. While NaVi was able to beat Team Spirit earlier this year, all signs point to this being a serious uphill climb.
Best picks
- Team Spirit wins 2-0 @ 2.35 – All of Spirit’s wins over NaVi in 2025 have come via 2-0 scores.
- Team Spirit wins 2-1 @ 3.2 – There are enough variables in play here that NaVi could win a map. Whether it’s things going to Overpass, makazze fragging out, or NaVi taking things to Mirage.
- sh1ro over 14.5 kills on map 1/2 @ 1.50 – This isn’t a particularly sexy line on its own, but it’s good for attaching to a parlay. Spirit’s wins have been taking a long time and sh1ro has been posting some downright absurd numbers in Cologne, including a 31-kill tally in a 13-8 win over Heroic.
