The League of Legends Pro League Regional Finals determines China’s last two representatives at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. Unlike most other regions where the Summer playoff placements determine all qualifications, the LPL still uses Championship Points. Teams earn points based on their placements for all three playoffs. Seed 1 qualifies by winning the Split 3, seed 2 qualifies by having the most points, and the Regional Finals oppose the next four teams in points for the final two seeds.
The winner of the upper final goes to Worlds as the LPL’s third seed. Then, the winner of the final claims the fourth and final spot.
While both round 1 matchups are rematches of the Split 3 playoffs, the LPL is a league where no results are set in stone. Invictus Gaming, Top Esports, and JD Gaming are all storied teams that traders have faith in. Alongside them however stands Team WE, who has never been a favorite since their glory days from a decade ago. And yet, this wouldn’t be their first upset of 2026.
