As per the announcement, Uzi’s tournament will run from March 23 until April 3. Registrations for the event open on March 9, followed by Open Qualifiers March 14-19, and a draft night on March 20 to determine final rosters. Rosters will likely feature past and current LPL players, as well as high-Elo Chinese players.

The event will use Fearless Draft rules, with early matches being best-of-ones and playoffs being best-of-three. Grand Finals will be a best-of-five.

But by far the biggest attraction is the prize pool. With 1,000,000 RMB on the line, approximately $137,000 USD, self-funded by Uzi, there’s a lot of play for. The winners have the chance to take home 660,000 RMB, a lion’s share of the pool. There’s also a 50,000 RMB prize for the best rookie.

Uzi is one of the most notable players of the Chinese LoL scene, having made a name for himself as the ADC of Royal Never Give Up, formally Royal Club. First rising to prominence all the way back during the Season 3 World Championships, Uzi spent the majority of his career with RNG, apart from a run with OMG in 2015, and brief stints with Bilibili Gaming and EDG close to the end of his career.

Uzi retired in 2023, but competed in 2024’s Legend Cup events. Since then he’s mainly focused on streaming, primarily on Chinese platform Huya. The tournament will be streamed on that platform, and it’s unknown if there will be an english broadcast or co-stream.
