Why Kai Cenat is accused of a $100k giveaway scam

After discovering the winner’s identity, fans have started to speculate that Kai Cenat’s location challenge giveaway was a scam.

Kai Cenat accomplished his goal of breaking Ironmouse’s Twitch record and reclaiming his throne as the most-subscribed Twitch streamer. However, it looks like the streamer has no intentions of slowing down. He brought the legend Bill Nye the Science Guy onto his stream and there are reports that he will collaborate with Hollywood’s Kevin Hart soon. Fans are as excited as the streamer and some even organized a Kai Cenat lookalike competition in New York. It looks like that might have inspired the streamer as he organized a competition himself.

However, after the winner was announced, fans claimed that Kai Cenat’s $100,000 giveaway was a scam all along.

Who found Kai Cenat and won the $100,000 giveaway?

The winner of Kai Cenat’s giveaway was a fan known as Ljay Currie, but after discovering his identity, viewers claim that the giveaway was a scam.

Kai Cenat’s giveaway had one objective. The first fan to find him in Los Angeles would win $100,000. Many fans wanted to take part in the competition to win the money and also meet Kai Cenat. Fellow streamers Rani “Stable Ronaldo” Netz and Lazy also tried to win, but when they reached Kai, someone had beat them there.

Soon after the competition began, it was announced that a fan known as Ljay Currie had found Kai Cenat and won. However, once viewers started to look into the winner, speculations began that the giveaway was a scam.

Fans based the allegations on the fact that Ljay Currie is a Drake producer and has also dated the popular Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. These reasons alone don’t confirm that the giveaway was a scam. However, fans alleged that the whole thing was rigged because the winner wasn’t someone unknown.

On the contrary, some fans have supported Kai Cenat. They argued that just because the winner was already rich doesn’t mean the giveaway was a scam. The fans claimed that Kai Cenat said the winner would be whoever found him first.

Furthermore, fans claimed that Kai Cenat never specified any requirement that the first famous person to find him would be be declared the winner. There was nothing ruling out Drake or Izzy Azalea from tracking him down and using their wealth as an advantage. There is ultimately no evidence proving that the Kai Cenat giveaway was a scam. Kai himself has not responded to these claims.
