The most kills in League of Legends esports international series

Across 15 years of fast and slow metas, the game pace has fluctuated a lot. So which LoL series had the most action? Across World Championships, Mid-Season Invitationals, and First Stands, these are the 25 matches that recorded the most kills in LoL history.

Note: This list records matches from Worlds, MSI, and First Stand. It doesn’t include EWC, Rift Rivals, IEM, All-Star, or any other events.

1. Bilibili Gaming vs Hanwha Life Esports (MSI 2026) – 193 kills

The 2026 Mid-Season Invitational had an extremely skirmish-heavy meta, scoring several entries on this list. It’s only fitting that the grand final of the event was the series with the most kills of all time.

After BLG dominated the entire tournament and year, HLE ended their golden road, and they made a show of it.

2. Galatasaray Esports vs Beyond Gaming (Worlds 2021) – 185 kills

A less watched series, GS vs BYG held the trophy for the series with the most blood spilled for four years. This match was an elimination series in the Worlds 2021 play-in, and neither team reached the group stage.

Nevertheless, this match featured Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan, who would later go on a rampage on CTBC Flying Oyster.

3. G2 Esports vs T1 (MSI 2026) – 179 kills

As one of the most spectacular matches in LoL Esports history, G2 vs T1 reached second place with only four games played – before being pushed down to third four days later. Maps 1, 3, and 4 were all back-and-forth between two teams who wanted to fight. The nail-biter ended with one of the only international games to reach 60 kills.

4. Splyce vs Unicorns of Love (Worlds 2019) – 178 kills

Another play-in series, this match had an interesting history as UOL was the former team of several SPY players. Besides the first map, those games were all one-sided one way or the other. However, neither team would accept losing without a fight. Or winning, for that matter.

5. Oh My God vs Star Horn Royal Club (Worlds 2014) – 173 kills

After the end of the tank and waveclear meta, Season 4 was still in the action-packed days before they made room for a pro play more focused on methodical vision control. It’s worth noting that three games in that series ended with a lead of over 20k gold.

6. T1 vs CTBC Flying Oyster (MSI 2025) – 170 kills

In 2025, CFO brought the LCP back to relevance, and to a degree it hadn’t seen before. Ultimately, Fearless draft stretched their champion pools too much for a game 5, but this was a heroic display nonetheless. With that, Doggo has two series in the top ten despite a low number of international appearances.

6. SKT T1 vs EDward Gaming (MSI 2015) – 170 kills

With SKT T1 having yet to lose internationally at the time, EDG accomplished the unthinkable. Not only did they beat the titans, they did it by shutting down Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s undefeated Leblanc in game 5.

8. Bilibili Gaming vs BNK FearX (First Stand 2026) – 164 kills

BLG vs BFX set the stage for a win streak against the LCK, which would last until the MSI final. Every Bilibili Gaming win in the series was decisive, while the BFX ones were back-and-forth.

9. LYON vs Hanwha Life Esports (MSI 2026) – 163 kills

In a valiant effort, this was the closest NA got to winning against Korea since 2018. However, they fell short once again as Inspired collected his third 2-3 against the East.

10. KT Rolster vs T1 (Worlds 2025) – 162 kills

A T1 that was shaky all Summer long, against a KT that, well, is KT. Somehow, the Telecom rivals met in the Worlds final. Unfortunately, T1’s Worlds script overpowered KT’s heroics.

11. Fnatic vs Royal Club (Worlds 2013) – 157 kills

The second four-game series in the top ten, FNC vs RYL had most of the action happen in game 4. With 69 kills, the final round remains the international game with the most kills to this day. FNC vs RYL is a good series to watch for anyone who wants to see how inferior the macro level was in 2013.

12. EDward Gaming vs Star Horn Royal Club (Worlds 2014) – 156 kills

A similar story to the OMG series, albeit less stompy.

12. PEACE vs. RED Canids (Worlds 2021) – 156 kills

Just like GS vs BYG, neither participant in that series went on to the main stage. The impressive part of that match is that it racked up that many kills while being extremely short. With a game time of 135 minutes, the whole series was above one kill a minute.

14. G2 Esports vs FURIA (MSI 2025) – 155 kills

Against the best Eastern teams, G2 sometimes puts up incredible fights. Against lower-tier opponents, their games are somehow just as close. While a bad look for them, it makes for entertaining watches.

15. Fnatic vs SKT T1 (MSI 2015) – 154 kills

The series that gave hope to the West, this was when Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten solokilled Faker twice in a single game. Europe’s strongest team at the time was going toe-to-toe with the best in the world. Ultimately, this would be the first of many occurrences of Nunu ending the dreams of the West.

16. SKT T1 vs G2 Esports (MSI 2019) – 152 kills

After Fnatic’s (and later on Misfit’s) shortcoming, this was the first Bo5 that SKT ever lost against the West. To this day, they’ve still only ever lost to G2 in the West.

17. FURIA vs GIGABYTE Marines (MSI 2025) – 150 kills

Between this match and the one against G2, FURIA averaged more than 30 kills per game at MSI 2025. GAM finished with 28.4.

18. Anyone’s Legend vs T1 (Worlds 2025) – 149 kills

AL vs T1 is widely regarded as one of the best LoL series to date.

19. Gen.G vs Bilibili Gaming (MSI 2024) – 147 kills

Beyond being another four-game series, the MSI 2024 grand final also set the record for most individual kills in a tier 1 game. Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan finished game 2 with 28 kills on Kalista (including a penta).

20. Cloud9 vs Samsung Blue (Worlds 2014) – 146 kills

One more four-game series! Starting with a C9 stomp, SSB quickly brought Cloud9 back to Earth as they smashed the next three games.

21. T1 vs Bilibili Gaming (MSI 2024) – 144 kills

T1 came closer to beating BLG in their rematch, but they fell short. In the end, they claimed their revenge at the 2024 World final.

22. T1 vs Invictus Gaming (Worlds 2025) – 143 kills

The last four-game series in the list, the 2026 play-in match showed two shaky teams. One of them did win the whole event, though.

23. G2 Esports vs T1 (MSI 2024) – 139 kills

Just another G2-T1 series, the third on this list. T1 occupies ten of the 25 spots.

24. Royal Never Give Up vs DWG KIA (MSI 2021) – 136 kills

RNG vs DK is a very interesting series to look back at to get surprised by what the meta looked like in 2021.

25. EDward Gaming vs Royal Never Give Up (Worlds 2021) – 134 kills

The eventual World winner, taking out the MSI winner! This series felt much less hectic than its score would suggest, as it was mostly stomps.
