All VALORANT ultimate abilities ranked (tier list)
Ultimate abilities are a massive part of any hero-based game, and Valorant is no different. A properly-timed ultimate can secure a round win, or even outright guarantee it.
Ahead, we’ll give you our opinion on the best and worst ultimates in Valorant as of Act 3 Episode 1, along with our reasoning behind our selections.

S-Tier
In S-tier, you’ll find the ultimates for Gekko, Omen, Neon, Raze, and Breac.h
A major reason for these abilities to be in the S-tier is their use in-game. Trash by Gekko can be used twice in-game, while Neon’s ultimate is one of the best in the game. Omen’s ultimate allows players to teleport anywhere on the map. Raze’s Showstopper is one of the best ultimates to leave fear in the eyes of your enemies. Breach’s Rolling Thunder is the best ultimate to have on post plants. The agent can stun all enemies on site while pushing them off the diffuse, leaving them in a state of vulnerability.
A-Tier
In A-Tier, we have abilities that have provided a lot of impact in ranked matches as well as in VALORANT Esports. Clove is one of the most picked agents in the game on the ranked ladder. Due to their ability to come back to life, this puts the enemies in quite a tough spot. The ulitmates of Astra, Fade, Waylay, and Tejo help in securing map control. Having the ability to cut the map in half or even just causing an effect on the opponent is quite important.
These are the kind of abilities that, if used right, can help players win the round outright just due to the ultimate.
B-Tier
The ultimates that are on this part of the are those that are useful only in a certain use case. An example would be Sage’s Ultimate, while the ability to revive your teammates is quite overpowered, many teams in VCT don’t use Sage in nearly all maps. Chamber, Phoenix, Iso, and Jett have abilities that would give them an advantage in a 1v1 face-off, but will not provide any help to the team as a whole. A lot of the ultimates of the Sentinel agents are here due to the fact that Duelists are quite overpowered in this meta.
C-Tier
These ultimates are those that once again have usability in a given situation; they are mostly wasteful or take too many orbs. Reyna and Veto’s ultimates are once again focused on giving the player a buff, but if the player doesn’t get a kill, then it results in the ability being wasted. Skye and Sova’s ultimates are quite good in the game, and a few people might put them higher on the list. In the current meta, the ultimates of Kay/O, Fade, and Breach are much more useful in the initiator class of agents.
D-Tier
In this tier, there are only two VALORANT ultimates. The reason for this is that both of these agents, Miks and Harbor, aren’t picked a lot during ranked and unranked matches. With their pick rate being so low it giving them a tier higher than D would be very graceful. In our opinion, the rework to Harbor just makes his ultimate a lot weaker than it was previously.
So, that’s my opinion on the current state of ultimate abilities in Valorant.
