How to get the Deagle Heat Treated in CS2

CS2 players are clamoring to get new skins from the Armory, the Heat Treated Deagle may be one of the event’s most coveted skins.

The Armory has sent shockwaves through the CS2 skin scene. In addition to adding several new skin collections, it also introduced a brand new cosmetic in keychains. However, Valve has put special emphasis on the official blog post to the new Desert Eagle skin. This exclusive item stands alone in the Armory, and the announcement calls it a limited edition item. Unlike the other skins in the event, players have to jump through an additional hoop to get it.

How to get the Deagle Heat Treated in CS2

CS2 players must spend 25 Armory tokens within the first 103 days of the event to get the Heat Treated Deagle.

The rollout for this special item is strange, as Valve has never introduced a time-limited skin before. While the Armory event appears to last indefinitely, players only have 103 days to pick up this special skin. After that, it will likely be gone forever. In addition, Valve appears to have limited the Heat Treated to only one per account regardless of how many credits players rack up. With 103 days remaining at launch, the last day to get the Deagle Heat Treated is January 13, 2025.

With only one allowed per account, Valve also specifies that each one will come with its own pattern and wear value. This means that players could grind up 25 Armory credits only to get a plain battle-scarred Deagle. However, this also means they could pick up a wicked factory new. It’s not clear if Valve means that each player will get a unique pattern, as even cosmetics with different patterns are usually limited to 1,000 options. The developer probably means that each one will likely have a unique combination of pattern and float, which is already the case for the majority of rare skins in CS2.

The gun itself has a striking blue pattern meant to invoke the image of metal being reforged. The rippling effect also harkens to Damascus steel, which is already a skin for several knives. It’s easy to draw comparisons between the Heat Treated and Case-Hardened, as both have streaks of blue running through a mottle metal background. This implies that there could be blue gem patterns to unveil, but players will only know once the skin community begins appraising it.

With Valve limiting the skin to only per account, the supply of any given Heat Treated pattern will be very low. Anyone lucky enough to get a theoretical blue gem Deagle Heat Treated could have a very lucrative skin on their hands.
