How to instantly respawn with new Clove glitch in Valorant

Clove can instantly respawn herself due to an unexpected glitch with Iso ultimate.

As the fastest-rising game under Riot’s umbrella, Valorant’s success means more players exploring every nook and cranny of the game. It’s often a joke amongst the gamer community that the best QA department every company has is the player base, and in Valorant’s case, it’s certainly plausible. Players love searching for new glitches often with the intent of earning some free Elo. However, it’s just as possible to run into a weird interaction on complete accident.

That’s exactly what happened to one player, who found a funny glitch involving both Iso and Clove.

New Clove glitch respawns her after ultimate

Clove will glitch out and respawn in the spawn point if they use their ultimate during Iso’s ultimate.

Wonky interactions are bread and butter for Riot, and Valorant is no exception. In a clip shared on Reddit, Iso caught Clove with their Ultimate, Kill Contract, which brings both players to an alternate dimension where they duel to the death.

Meanwhile, Clove’s ultimate, Not Dead Yet, allows the player to temporarily revive. If the player earns a kill within a set time, Clove’s resurrection will be permanent. Otherwise, they die as normal. Given how the two ultimates function, one would assume Clove should resurrect within Iso’s ultimate. At the very least, they would pop up where they were before being shoved into the Thunderdome.

As it turns out, dying in Iso’s ultimate and triggering Clove’s ultimate results in Clove returning to spawn instead of on the spot. In the clip, Reddit user Copperdew was shocked before getting picked off by a lurking Reyna. The interaction between Clove and Iso’s ultimates certainly put the advantage in Iso’s favor, since his team will know exactly where Clove will pop up.

Iso ultimate duels typically result in some traded damage and end when one of the duelists dies. If both players live through the duel, they will both die. Clove’s ultimate, theoretically, allows her to lose the duel once without fear. However, the glitch puts Clove at a distinct disadvantage by putting her back at spawn.

If Iso threw the ult during a team fight, it means Clove would be far away from the action. In the time it would take to return to the fight, Clove’s ult would have worn off, and she’d be right back to spawn anyway. Unless the player plans on picking off spawn campers, it’s a distinct advantage Iso has over Clove. Fans can only hope the bug will be fixed in future patches.
