The VCT Pacific Stage 2 tournament has entered the final chapter, with four teams fighting for the title and Champions Shanghai qualification. Nongshim RedForce faces Global Esports in the upper bracket, while VARREL and T1 fight for survival, with the Grand Final set to happen on September 6.

Nongshim RedForce has appeared to be one of the top teams in the playoffs so far. They first won against Paper Rex 2-0 and then took down Gen.G 2-1, demonstrating terrific form against two of the biggest teams in the region. Global Esports have also gained some momentum and have beaten KIWOOM DRX 2-1 and VARREL 2-0.

This means Nongshim RedForce vs Global Esports will clash in the Upper Bracket Final. The winner moves directly into the Grand Final, while the loser gets another chance in the lower bracket final.

Meanwhile, VARREL vs T1 is a do-or-die matchup in the Lower Bracket Semifinal. VARREL produced one of the biggest surprises this season by eliminating Paper Rex 2-1, while T1 followed with a 2-0 win over KIWOOM DRX before easily defeating Gen.G with another 2-0. Here, the winner will advance to the Lower Bracket Final, where they will face the loser of the Nongshim RedForce vs Global Esports match and get a chance to earn the Grand Final slot.

Predictions: Nongshim and T1 have the edge

Nongshim RedForce should have enough discipline to survive GE in series. Their ability to adapt during mid-rounds gives them the advantage. T1 should also have the upper hand against VARREL. Their playoff experience and firepower make them a difficult opponent, especially in elimination matches.

The key players that need to be looked in the next VCT Pacific 2026 Stage 2 matches are BuZz and iZu from the T1 side. BuZz’s entry play can give T1 an edge right from the start of the game, and then iZu can offer consistency to T1 that they need in order to end the round.

When it comes to Nongshim RedForce and GE, Xross and Dambi will be the players to watch. GE will rely greatly on the capabilities of xavi8k and PatMen, who may put up a great challenge for Nongshim RedForce with their entry skills.

While Global Esports and T1 seem on a collision course in the lower bracket, Nongshim RedForce stands out as the most complete team remaining and remains favored to take the tournament title, leaving Global Esports to settle for runner-up.
