FLY vs SEN LCS prediction: Sentinels

The LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs is finally starting. In the first round of the upper bracket, Sentinels faces FlyQuest at 7pm EST on September 13. The winner of the series will move up to face Team Liquid or LYON, and winning that next match gets them to the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. The prediction markets put Sentinels as the winner after they already won this matchup in the regular season.

Why the market favors Sentinels

In the Summer Split, the LCS has been very predictable. With only a few exceptions, the teams above beat the teams below. With Sentinels already scoring a 2-0 win against FlyQuest, it stands to believe that they’ll do it again.

Sentinels is also the only team from below the top three that managed to punch above their weight. In week 4, SEN beat LYON and prevented another perfect split in the LCS. While this was a LYON without Kacper “Inspired” Słoma, they were still undoubtedly a top three opponent.

Against them, FlyQuest is the promise of potential that was never realized. The youngest roster in the LCS, a team of rookies who are eager to prove themselves and who can only improve as a group over time. However, that improvement didn’t come through. If anything, FLY lost their panache as the splits went on.

FlyQuest found their spark by having spicy picks for the jungle. Mainly Shyvana and Nasus, they’re at their most comfortable when going for their own style, Johnson “Gryffinn” Le most of all. Then throughout most of Summer, they followed a meta that didn’t facilitate that. Thus the team that was supposed to be able to challenge Cloud9, that could overtake them as they showed more signs of weakness was no longer one to rise to the challenge.

Neither managed Sentinels, but they fought valiantly against C9 in the final week of the regular season. However, SEN lacks discipline and this cost them their chances in that match. Cloud9 was able to find unexpected fights while Sentinels couldn’t navigate their advantages.

FLY is no paragon of stability either. If anything, their match promises to be a hectic one.

What traders are saying

Users on the League of Legends subreddit believe that Sentinels is the better team, but that it’s not out of the question for FLY to win. It comes down to the same topic for both opponents: whichever can focus up, be on the same page, and not go for poor fights will come out on top.

Our prediction

Prediction: Sentinels to win

Sentinels is actually 4-1 against FlyQuest this year, with their loss being a surprising 3-0 in the Spring playoffs. SEN seems to shut down the playmaking potential of FLY, and recent trends don’t speak in FLY’s favor either.
