In week 6 of the LCS, Team Liquid and LYON fight for the first place in North America. LYON lost a match and prevented this from being a battle of the undefeated. Nevertheless, they’re now back with their regular jungler, and will be Team Liquid’s biggest roadblock on their way to an undefeated split.

Team Liquid vs LYON match analysis

Team Liquid is the most dominant team in the LCS 2026 Summer Split. Not only do they sit at 4-0, but they have also yet to lose a single game. Cloud9 was the first major hurdle, and they swept them effortlessly.

Now comes their second test. In the LCS, there’s a distinct top three made up of Team Liquid, Cloud9, and LYON. Every team below them is always expected to lose to them. While Sentinels did win against LYON in week 4, that was while they played with a substitute.

Now, Kacper “Inspired” Słoma has rejoined his team. The LYON that beat G2 Esports at the Mid-Season Invitational was much less disciplined without him, and it played into their loss to SEN. With his return, they now have to state their case for being the best team in the LCS.

Considering Inspired’s absence for over a month, the jungle should actually favor Team Liquid. Brandon “Josedeodo” Joel Villegas was a candidate for Spring Split MVP, and he’s a particularly aggressive player. With a record of 8-1 on Lee Sin, he will make himself the winning factor if Inspired shows signs of weakness.

As for the rest of the map, Team Liquid has an advantage in the mid lane as Lim “Quid” Hyeon-seung once again looks like the best mid laner in the league. Bot lane favors LYON, while top has both players famous for being good equalizers.

Most of the action should happen around bot lane as Sean “Yeon” Sung has just as much potential to take over games as Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol. All eyes will be on those two players.
