The League of Legends Championship Series is the tier 1 North American League of Legends tournament. After a single round robin of best-of-three matches, the top six teams in the LCS Summer 2026 Regular Season advance to the playoffs. There, they’ll have three spots to earn to the 2026 League of Legends World Championship where they’ll get a chance to win the Summoner’s Cup, the ultimate prize of LoL Esports.

The LCS has been dominated by various teams over the years, and its two biggest teams in Team Solo Mid and Counter-Logic Gaming have since then left the scene. Nowadays, Cloud9 leads the regular season before getting one-upped right before the finish line during the playoffs.

This split, the LCS is clearly divided into three parts. There’s a top two in LYON and Team Liquid, a second group with Cloud9 and FlyQuest, and the bottom half. Currently, no team has scored a victory against a group above theirs.
