The League of Legends Pro League is the tier 1 competition in China. The LPL Split 3 2026 is split into two groups, Group Ascend and Group Nirvana.
Group Ascend contains the eight best Chinese teams, determined by where they finished at the end of Split 2. Those eight teams play a best-of-three double round robin that will determine seeding for the playoffs.
Every participant in the LPL Split 3 2026 Group Ascend will advance to the playoffs or play-in. Due to placing second at the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, China will send four teams to the 2026 League of Legends World Championship: the playoffs winner, the team with the most Championship Points, then two teams sent through the Regional Finals.
With three World Championship titles and five MSI victories, China is the biggest League of Legends powerhouse after South Korea. In 2026, the two regions are neck-and-neck. One of the teams playing in Group Ascend now might very well end up hoisting the Summoner’s Cup in November.
For bets on this category, it’s worth noting that LPL matches end up with higher kill counts than the average for LoL.
