PGL Singapore Major 2026 Full List of Teams and Format Explained

The most prestigious Counter-Strike 2 tournament of the year is taking place very soon, as PGL Singapore Major 2026 is set to begin on November 24. The biggest stage requires the best teams in the world, which is why 32 teams from around the world have spent the last six months trying to qualify for the event.
Let’s take a look at all teams participating in the PGL Singapore Major, and how the tournament will work.
All 32 Teams Attending the PGL Singapore Major
Valve has sent out invitations to the Singapore Major to the 32 teams with the highest Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points in their respective regions. Let’s take a look at which teams made the cut.
European Invites
Europe is by far the most competitive region in Counter-Strike, so it’s no surprise the region received 18 invitations to the Major, with six teams in each stage.

FaZe Clan is officially back on the Major stage. The squad failed to qualify for the previous IEM Cologne 2026 Major, so it’s nice seeing them back, even though they start in Stage 1.
Two European teams have also made it to the Major for the first time, as we’ll get 1win and 100 Thieves stickers for the first time.
Americas Invites
Next on the list are teams from the Americas region, which includes both North and South America. The region received nine invites to the tournament.

FURIA and Legacy, two Brazilian squads that have won events this season, are the only two starting in Stage 3. MIBR is the lone squad in Stage 2, while everyone else starts at the bottom.
DENDELE – the former Sharks Esports roster – is another organization debuting at the Major.
Asian Invites
Last but not least, we have the Asian region, which has only been given five slots, with none of them being a Stage 3 start.

The highest Asian seed is The MongolZ, who will begin their PGL Singapore Major campaign in Stage 2. Everyone else starts in Stage 1, so none of these teams can afford a slow start.
After swapping regions from Europe to Asia, BC.Game has officially made it to the organization’s first Major. This also means Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev – one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all time – is back on the big stage.
PGL Singapore Major 2026 Format Explained
If you’re watching a Counter-Strike Major for the first time, it’s important to understand the format. You should at least know what these “Stages” mean.
Swiss Stages (Stages 1 – 3)
As seen above, all qualified teams are immediately seeded into different stages. These positions are determined based on the team’s ranking in the VRS – lower-ranked teams start at Stage 1, while the top dogs get to skip stages.
16 teams will begin their run in Stage 1 of the PGL Singapore Major. Then, eight teams will be eliminated, while eight others survive and advance to Stage 2.
There are already eight teams starting in Stage 2, so the survivors from Stage 1 will join them to form another 16 team Swiss Stage. Then, the same process repeats itself – the Stage 2 survivors will advance to Stage 3, while the rest are out. Of course, the level of play gets higher as the stages progress.
And finally, the eight survivors from Stage 2 will join the eight teams waiting in Stage 3 – you get the drill. Stage 3 is where the best CS2 teams like Team Spirit and Team Vitality are waiting, so there’s extremely tough competition ahead.

Playoffs
The playoffs is the final stage of the tournament. The top eight teams that survived the grueling Swiss Stages will take part in the playoffs and compete for the trophy.
The Singapore Major will follow a single-elimination format, meaning one loss and you’re out. Teams will play up to three matches for the trophy:
- Quarter-Final (Best of 3)
- Semi-Final (Best of 3)
- Grand Final (Best of 5)
So, if you only want to watch the juiciest part of the event, the playoffs is when you should start tuning in (though we recommend watching from the start)!
