We have quite an unexpected grand final matchup at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, as FURIA will take on underdog squad Nemiga Gaming for all the marbles. Though FURIA enter this series as the heavy favorite, we see an angle for Nemiga to deal some damage.

FURIA vs Nemiga Gaming Match Analysis

In a tournament with the likes of Team Vitality and Team Spirit, we’re getting a grand final between FURIA and Nemiga instead.The Brazilian squad is relatively high on momentum, having won the Thunderpick World Champions 2026 tournament just a few weeks ago. FURIA had a rough start to the Swiss Stage losing to NAVI and Team Spirit, but bounced back with four wins in a row to secure a spot in the grand final. 

FURIA took down two potent squads in their playoff run, dealing with a heated BetBoom Team and title contender MOUZ in the quarter and semi-finals, respectively. Overall, this is a very experienced squad that has won several titles before, and the team is motivated to secure another trophy before their in-game leader Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo retires at the end of the season.

On the other hand, we have a huge surprise. Nemiga Gaming, one of the lower-ranked teams at the tournament, managed to clinch a grand final spot against all odds. The Eastern European roster was one series away from elimination in the Swiss Stage, but won against DENDELE and The MongolZ to reach the playoffs. 

Then, Nemiga didn’t only take down FUT Esports 2-0 in the quarter final, but proceeded to also defeat Team Vitality 2-0 to make their first grand final appearance at a Tier 1 event. This squad is playing under zero pressure, and all of their players are hitting their shots.

FURIA vs Nemiga Gaming Betting Picks and Predictions

FURIA is hands-down the more experienced roster in deep playoff matches, and they’re also the better team on paper. It’s obvious why traders on Polymarket are favoring the Brazilians to win the title. 

However, it’s worth noting that Nemiga enter this matchup with a favorable veto. Their perma-ban is Inferno, which also happens to be FURIA’s strongest map. So, even though we think FURIA has this series in the bag, we believe Nemiga has a good shot at making the series close. 

Though we love an underdog story, we’ll take FURIA to win the grand final and add another trophy to the cabinet. However, Nemiga could easily win one or two maps in this series thanks to the favorable veto.
