After five days of high-octane Counter-Strike, the PGL Masters Bucharest group stage had ended, and we’re heading into the playoffs of this $1.25 million event. The first round matchups are out, so let’s take a look at the best PGL Masters Bucharest playoff predictions.

FUT Esports vs. Nemiga Gaming

FUT Esports are playing their first tournament with their newest addition of Álvaro “SunPayus” García, and things have looked amazing for this European mix. FUT managed to finish their Swiss Stage campaign with a perfect 3-0 record, even beating tournament favorites Team Vitality in the process. Overall, this squad is high on momentum and looking to extend their winning streak at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026.

On the other hand, we have quite a surprise with Nemiga Gaming qualifying for the playoffs. These Eastern Europeans took down The MongolZ in their 2-2 Swiss Stage match and barely scraped by after a close overtime victory. However, it’s safe to say Nemiga look a little out of place in the top eight, as they’re by far the lowest-ranked team left at this event.

FUT have honestly looked like one of the better teams at this tournament, and all of their young prospects are in good form and firing on all fronts. This first series should be a very comfortable win for them, especially when they’re matched against the weakest team in the playoffs.

Team Vitality vs. Natus Vincere

The second series of the day features a clash between two of the largest esports organizations in the world, so we should be in for a treat.

With Team Spirit out of the picture, Team Vitality are now the frontrunners to win the entire event. They are a little handicapped as their in-game leader Dan “apEX” Madesclaire isn’t with them for this event, but Vitality still look like one of the best teams in the world with Justinas “jL” Lekavičius as a stand-in.

NAVI have not looked too sharp this entire season, but they’re back in form at this event. The Ukrainian org took down tough opponents including FURIA and even Team Spirit to break into the playoffs.

However, these two teams have already played against each other earlier in the Swiss Stage, and the series went Vitality’s way with ease. We believe it’s going to be a repeat, with jL taking down his former teammates.

  • My prediction: Team Vitality 2-1 Natus Vincere

Aurora vs. MOUZ

The new Aurora roster has been slowly improving after every CS2 tournament, and they’re genuinely looking like a top-five team in the world at the moment. Apart from an early loss to The MongolZ in their opening series, Aurora bounced back with three wins in a row to qualify for the playoffs.

On the other side are MOUZ, who have been title contenders throughout the season. They had a strong Swiss Stage performance that included a 2-1 victory over Team Spirit. MOUZ have looked a little shaky on some occasions, but they’re generally in pretty decent form.

However, it’s important to note that MOUZ enter this series with a significant veto advantage. Anubis is Aurora’s best map, boasting a 75% win rate across 12 maps in the last three months, but Anubis is also MOUZ’s perma-ban, so we’re not going to see the map in play.

Due to the veto advantage and us believing that MOUZ is generally the better team, we’re taking MOUZ to win this series, though it could be a close one.

BetBoom Team vs. FURIA

The final series of the day should be the most competitive one, as a BetBoom Team that’s high on momentum will face off against an experienced FURIA roster.

BetBoom Team are hot off a 3-0 run in the Swiss Stage, where they took down notable opponents such as Team Spirit and Natus Vincere along the way. The team’s AWPer, Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko, is in prime form with an average 1.44 rating at the event so far, with the team’s in-game leader Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov calling well, too.

Their opponents are FURIA, who are coming off a recent victory at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 just two weeks ago. However, the Brazilian squad has looked pretty inconsistent, so their form for the playoffs is in question.

These two teams did clash in the grand final of the Thunderpick World Championship, with FURIA coming out on top after a close 3-2 series. However, we believe BetBoom are in better form at the moment, and that they’ll take this series.

  • My prediction: BetBoom Team 2-1 FURIA
