All Genesis Collection skins – CS2 update September 16, 2025

The Genesis Collection, a new skin case, arrived in CS2 on September 16 as part of the game’s new update. This is the first skin case since Valve added the Fever Case to CS2 in March 2025 as part of the Armory Update, and it works differently from other cases.

The Genesis Collection features 17 CS2 skins from community contributors, and the items can be accessed via the sealed Genesis Uplink Terminal.

How can you get a Genesis Uplink Terminal in CS2

The sealed Genesis Uplink terminal is available as one of the items in CS2’s Weekly Care Package. To become eligible for those, your account must have Prime Status.

To receive that weekly drop, players must gain 5,000 XP by playing matches. It’s not guaranteed, though, that it will pop up as one of the items in your drop.

Alternatively, if you don’t feel like playing the game, you can buy a Genesis Uplink Terminal via the Steam Community Market.

As of the time of this writing, the Genesis Uplink Terminal costs around $10, but the price will go down as more people sell them.

How does the Genesis Uplink Terminal work

As we said earlier, the Genesis Uplink Terminal works totally differently from any other skin case in CS2. This is because you have to pay for the skin you choose — and the rare items cost a lot of money.

Here’s how you open it:

1. Press the green “Unseal Terminal” button to open it once you have a Genesis Uplink Terminal in your CS2 inventory.
2. This will prompt a chat with an arms dealer. That dealer is essentially a bot that will offer you one of the 17 weapons of the Genesis Collection for a price. You get five chances per Genesis Uplink Terminal.
3. If you like their offer, click and hold the green “accept” button. If you want to get another offer, click and hold the other option to reject it.

The AK-47 | The Oligarch and the M4A4 | Full Throttle are the rarest items of the Genesis Collection. They’re Covert items, the highest-ranked weapon grade aside from Extraordinary (knives and gloves) and Contraband (M4A4 | Howl).

Here are all the weapon grades of the skins in the Genesis Collection, from rarest to common. The rarer the item, the harder it is to get in the Genesis Uplink Terminal, as the odds are small.
