donk wants to spend his entire CS2 career with Team Spirit

In a clip from a recent interview with Russian content creator Buster, Counter-Strike 2 superstar Danil “donk” Kryshkovets shared a long-term career aspiration, saying that he intends to remain with Team Spirit for the rest of his professional playing days.

When asked about whether he would ever consider following the path of other CIS superstars by making a lucrative jump to an international squad, the 19-year-old rifler made his stance very clear, as long as he plays competitive CS, he wants to stay with Team Spirit.

When asked about changing teams or taking massive overseas offers, donk made it clear that he’s not leaving Team Spirit anytime soon.

“I want to stay in Spirit. I want to play in Spirit my whole life, I would say. For me, it’s more than an organization. Yeah, that’s it. I just want to leave my legacy in Spirit.” 

In a CS scene full of insane multi-million-dollar roster moves, like m0NESY joining Team Falcons, donk’s loyalty to Spirit is quite a rare sight. While other pros switch orgs to grab the bag or chase superteams, donk sees Spirit as his actual home, which can’t be changed by a paycheck.

With Team Spirit retaining its star player donk for the foreseeable future, the team will be one to look out for in all tournaments from a CS2 betting perspective as well.  

donk is on a generational run

Donk’s rise in CS2 has been quite unreal. Spirit scouted him at just 14, let him grind in their academy roster, and promoted him to the main squad in mid-2023.

It didn’t take long for him to hit the top tiers. He broke records at IEM Katowice 2024 with a ridiculous 1.70 tournament rating, smacking tier-one teams around and taking home the trophy in one of the hardest LAN debuts ever. 

In the last two years donk’s performance has locked his place in the “world’s best player” debate alongside ZywOo and m0NESY, regularly dropping 1.30+ ratings in matches.

Even recently at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 in Paris, he hard-carried Team Spirit to a 3-1 Grand Final win over FUT Esports, securing the $600,000 grand prize.

He posted some extremely impressive stats all across the tournament: a 1.50 rating, 97.8 ADR, and consistent kills per round across 17 maps. In his matches, donk not only solo-held sites or entry-fragged through choke points, pulling the weight of his entire squad with his shoulders only. 

For Spirit fans, knowing their star player isn’t dipping means their championship run isn’t stopping anytime soon.
