Dplus KIA vs Gen.G: Best betting odds for LoL EWC 2026 semifinal

After a very tense comeback, Dplus KIA took down Bilibili Gaming to move up against Gen.G in the semifinal of the LoL Esports World Cup 2026. Gen.G, on the other side of the Rift, had a mostly clean victory against JD Gaming. At least, as clean as a match against the LPL can be. Here’s our DK vs GEN semifinal prediction.

Betting tips: DK managed to stand toe to toe with Gen.G when the Rounds 1-2 of the LCK started. Since then though, they’ve strongly fallen from grace, and look clearly worse than their opponent.

This is an odd match, as it wasn’t supposed to happen. DK was the underdog against Anyone’s Legend and G2 Esports, and much more so against Bilibili Gaming. To make matters worse, most of their wins were close games – and their losses not so much.

On the plus side, Dplus KIA benefits from the current meta. With mages being prevalent everywhere, a game centered around roaming, and the rosters being wide open, this gives them more room to navigate. Heo “ShowMaker” Su has an array of specialty picks that he’s not afraid to bring out, and they get to shine at this tournament.

On the other hand, they only won against MSI participants. DK had a month to rest and to prepare for EWC, while G2 and BLG only flew to France mere days before the event. Then, they played while still likely being under the effects of fatigue and jet lag.

While this doesn’t invalidate their victories, this isn’t the case of Gen.G, who also missed MSI. DK managed to take them down at the start of Rounds 1-2 in a massive upset. Since then though, Gen.G reclaimed the upper hand as DK’s level went into freefall.

The elephant in the room is that GEN has players of a much higher caliber than Dplus. ShowMaker aside, all DK players have a weaker early. As for the mid laner, he’s up against one of the best players in the world. Then again, he did just beat Zhuo “Knight” Bin, the current potential best mid laner.
