The Esports World Cup's trophy.

The Esports World Cup (EWC) Club Championship 2026’s prize pool split has been announced, along with several key rule changes.  This year, the total amount at stake will be $30 million, up from $27 million last year.

The team that finishes as the EWC Club Champion will earn a sum of $7 million. The runner-up, on the other hand, will receive $5 million. The minimum amount a club can earn is $100,000. The full split is as follows:

One point to note is that currently, the confirmed list of organizations in the 2026 EWCF Club Partner Program have not yet been made public.

The EWC Club Championship rewards partner clubs with a share of the prize pool for participating and accumulating points across different tournaments.

At the end of the EWC, which features a total of 25 different tournaments across 24 games (MLBB has a separate women’s tournament), the club with the most points is crowned the EWC Club Champion.

Since its launch in 2024, Team Falcons has claimed the club champion title back-to-back.

The points distribution system is simple. The club that finishes first in an EWC tournament will earn 1000 points. Teams in second and third will receive 750 and 500 points, respectively. The top eight teams in a tournament are rewarded with points.

What are the new rules in the Esports World Cup Club Championship 2026?

There are some major rule changes concerning Club Champion teams:

  • Clubs will only be able to field one team in team-based titles. The only exception is for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), where organizations are allowed to own up to two teams.
  • Teams will need to announce their rosters for all games in the upcoming EWC by April 30.
  • For solo game titles like EA FC 26, a team can now sign up to four players into their roster.
  • For both team and solo titles, only the highest placement will count toward the club’s total score.

It does feel like the EWCF is trying to ensure a lot more structure this season with an early deadline to confirm rosters. Organizations now have just over a month to finalize their teams. It does feel like roster mania could go wild in the coming days.
