If you’re looking to try your hand at MLBB betting throughout the M7 World Championship, it’s important to understand the format. The tournament will feature three phases:

Wildcard Stage (January 3 – 6)

The M7 World Championship features a Wildcard Stage, where eight teams battle for the two remaining slots at the Swiss Stage.

  • Eight teams are divided into two groups
  • Teams will play a single Round Robin, with all matches being played in Bo3 format
  • The top two teams from each group advance to the Decider Stage
  • The four remaining teams play Bo5 matches, with the two winners qualifying for the Swiss Stage

Swiss Stage/Group Stage (January 10 – 17)

  • 16 qualified teams will play in a Swiss Stage system
  • Teams who win three Bo3 matches will advance to the Knockout Stage
  • Teams who lose three Bo3 matches will be eliminated from the event
  • Win three matches before you lose three, and you’re good to go
  • A total of eight teams will qualify for the Knockout Stage

Knockout Stage/Playoffs (January 18 – 25)

  • Eight remaining teams are seeded into a double elimination bracket
  • The first round of the Upper Bracket will be played in Bo3 format
  • Every match except the Grand Final and the Upper Bracket Quarterfinal is played in Bo5 format
  • The Grand Final will be played in Bo7 format
  • Teams who lose two matches will be eliminated from the event

Qualified Teams

The M7 Championship will feature a total of 16 teams, but only 14 have qualified for the event. The two remaining slots will be decided through the Wildcard Stage.

If you’re looking to get involved in betting on esports, with crypto or real-money, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the participants. The 14 confirmed teams include:

  • ONIC Esports
  • Alter Ego
  • Team Liquid PH
  • Aurora Gaming PH
  • SRG.OG
  • CG Esports
  • Evil
  • CFU Gaming
  • Team Falcons
  • Yangon Galacticos
  • Team Spirit
  • Aurora Gaming
  • Black Sentence Esports
  • DianFengYaoGuai

Wildcard teams

Two of these teams will qualify to the event. The eight Wildcard teams that will fight for the two remaining slots are:

  • RLG SE
  • Axe
  • Boostgate Esports
  • Virtus.pro
  • Leon Esports
  • Guangzhou Gaming
  • Team Zone
  • ZETA Division

In the next section we breakdown which teams should be on your radar as the strongest and which teams are potential underdogs.

Predictions for the M7 World Championship

Now, we’ll get into our M7 World Champions predictions. Though it’s difficult to predict which team is going to take it all, we believe Team Liquid PH are the favorites and “the team to beat” at the event, and most esports betting sites would agree.

However, Team Liquid PH won’t have an easy road to the trophy, as there are three teams that are right on their tail. We fancy the chances of SRG.OG, ONIC Esports, and Aurora Gaming PH at becoming title contenders, too. We are confident that these are the four strongest participants at the event.

If you’re looking for some value from the M7 World Championship odds, we suggest keeping an eye on Team Spirit and Aurora Gaming. Though they aren’t as strong as the top four, we think they have the potential to pull off a few upsets.

Some people love cheering for Dark Horses. If this is you, we suggest following Yangon Galacticos’ journey at the M7 World Championship. We think these guys have a good chance of making a memorable run.
