MOUZ Brollan 2026

MOUZ are in the playoffs yet again, this time at IEM Kraków 2026. The international squad will be facing off against G2 in the second quarter-final.

During media day we caught up with MOUZ’s in-game leader, Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, and asked him a few questions.

Bruno: Hello, Brollan, we’re here in Krakow, congrats on making it to the playoffs.

What are your thoughts on your team’s performance so far at the event?

Brollan: I think we played pretty decent I would say yesterday, especially versus FaZe and Falcons, but I think we could do a little better, of course, versus Aurora especially, which we had a lot of talks after the game. But yeah, we did some improvements and I’m really happy that we managed to qualify for the playoffs because we didn’t see it that well. Versus NRG maybe in the first map and especially with the Aurora didn’t look that good, so I’m happy.

Bruno: Coming into this year you decided to skip Blast Bounty.

Why did you make that decision?

Brollan: I’m not sure at the moment. It’s mostly for the management to decide it, but yeah, it’s just very good for… to maybe play more games to the cut off after the Major, for example, more tournaments, I mean. And I think there’s a lot of online games, especially in the Blast Bounty, and you don’t really get that much VRS points and stuff, so I think it’s mostly that.

What was the main thing you worked on during the winter break? Was it more in-game stuff or out of the game?

Brollan: No, I think it’s just mostly, of course, mentality that we were struggling with in the past and we tried to just work on moving on from last year, especially because last year was not that good. I mean, of course it was good, but we had some finishes in playoffs that we didn’t want to… I mean, we had finishes in playoffs that was not our goal, basically. We wanted to win tournaments, but we tried to get it back off our heads, basically. So, yeah, we… try to do it with a little bit of mentality and then of course, we try to do some in-game stuff as well and try to come up with some new things, etc.

Bruno: Of course, Train was a good map for you guys, so…

How do you feel about the map change?

Brollan: No, I think it’s pretty…

It was weird when I saw the news, to be honest. Of course, Train was our best map, but it is what it is sometimes. I think it was a pretty bad decision by Valve, to be honest, but just because of the… things are not looking that good, like removing one map, reworked it and then they just remove it one year later. Doesn’t make sense in my head to be honest, but it happens and we have to move on from it.

Nothing in my control if I say so.

Bruno: Obviously yesterday you had a great game against Falcons, winning multiple overtimes.

Do you think that will help you in the playoffs, having that sort of game?

Brollan: Yeah I mean yesterday we felt that we really wanted it. And it was a really mentality game, I would say. Because both of the teams played two games yesterday and it was not that much energy maybe from both of the teams. But yeah, we won in the end and I’m really happy about it. And I think it was a lot of mentality things that we wanted it more than them. And I think of course they want to win, but yeah, we really wanted it and we wanted to go for the playoffs as well.

Bruno: Now you’ll be facing G2 in the quarterfinals.

What do you think about them as your opponents?

Brollan: I mean, of course, I think G2 are a good opponent. I think they’re maybe not the best in the…

in the Major, I think they should have maybe qualified for the playoffs, but I think they were a little bit choking if I say so. I think they were 2-0 in the Major as well, so I think they should have been making better results when the results were showing, basically.

But it’s a long time we’ve faced them, especially on LAN. We faced them online in BLAST London I think it was. I think they are still a good team and they have a lot of potential. I think they need to get in the last step if I say so. But I think obviously it’s going to be a good game and I’m looking forward to it.

Bruno: Thank you, Brollan, and good luck in the playoffs.

Brolan: Thank you.
