PGL CS2 Trophy 2026

After a successful showing in 2025, PGL Astana returns this year, with a stronger pool of teams and a hefty $1,600,000 prize pool.

No Vitality in attendance means a massive opportunity for one of the contenders to grab a title and gain much-needed confidence before the upcoming CS2 events, including the Major.

Several teams are coming into this tournament with fresh lineups. Finn “karrigan” Andersen will make his first appearance in a Falcons jersey, while MOUZ debut their recently altered roster, sporting Adam “xelex” Vincze and Justinas “jL” Lekavicius.

There are plenty of reasons to get excited for PGL Astana 2026. Let’s hope it does not disappoint.

Although some of the best CS2 players and teams will be in attendance at PGL Astana 2026, there is one glaring omission – Vitality. Despite their absence, the quality of Counter-Strike on display should still be top-notch.

On paper, there is a clear divide between the top eight teams and the remaining eight. However, two of the big dogs are debuting their revamped rosters, so predicting playoff teams might not be as simple as it seems on the surface.

The two teams in question are MOUZ and Falcons, who will be hoping to get off on the right foot with their new additions. Not having to face Vitality should help with that.

Here are all the teams in attendance at PGL Astana 2026:

  • FURIA

With all the contenders in attendance and no clear CS2 betting favorite in sight, the PGL Astana 2026 trophy is up for the taking. Which team has what it takes to go all the way?

Spirit are defending their title from last year, having beaten Astralis in the Grand Final. However, the field is much stronger overall this time around, so going back-to-back will be a difficult task.

PGL Astana 2025 was FURIA’s first event after they transitioned to an international roster last year. It was also Danil “molodoy” Golubenko’s arena debut, and it happened to be in front of his home crowd. Can he kick it back into gear on the stage?

Falcons’ super team is seemingly complete with karrigan taking over the IGL duties. Can they make use of their honeymoon and grab a trophy straight away?

Other strong contenders like PARIVISION and Aurora could also easily make a deep playoff run and battle for the trophy. The list of possible PGL Astana 2026 champions is seemingly endless.

The CS2 odds are that this will be an event to remember, so don’t miss out.
