Team Falcons, The International 2025 Champions, decided to leave Dota 2. The organization from Saudi Arabia confirmed the information after the rumors had been around for several weeks.

Originally formed in November of 2023, Team Falcons quickly rose to the top. An interesting fact is that the team did not change a single player over the years. The team played a total of 800 matches together and won many big tournaments, such as:
- BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024
- ESL One Birmingham 2024
- DreamLeague Season 22
- The International 2025
In fact, Team Falcons came into TI in 2026 as the reigning champion. It was even one of the big favorites to win the competition, per Dota 2 odds, but the squad was unable to achieve OG’s success of back-to-back TI champions from a few years ago.
Truth be told, 2026 was not the best year for the club. Falcons did not win any big competition and only finished second at the 1w Essence II. It was clear that the squad needed a change, but after Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen announced his retirement, it became clear that Team Falcons will probably take a break.
Before the announcement, Team Falcon’s draft looked like this:
- Oliver “skiter” Lepko
- Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak
- Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf
- Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen
- Wu “Sneyking” Jingun
What’s next for Team Falcons and the Players?
Now that the Saudi organization is away from Dota 2, we would not be surprised if it decides to jump into another game. There were rumors that it may decide to come back to VALORANT after it left the scene not long ago.
As for the players, we will have to wait and see. Cr1t may have retired, but the remaining players are still active, so we expect them to join an existing organization soon.
Considering that some orgs dropped their entire roster, we would not be surprised if all four players from Team Falcons find a new home under the same banner. Stay tuned for more esports news on the matter.
