The best AWP skins in CS2

Discussing the best AWP skins in CS2 is a sensitive topic to some.

Every player has a strong opinion on their favorite AWP skin and gets really protective of their baby.

And although taste is not something you usually discuss, there are a couple of AWP skins that are objectively better than others.

So, without further ado, here is a discussion on the best AWP skins in CS2!

AWP Asiimov

The AWP Asiimov is arguably the second most iconic AWP in Counter-Strike, below the Dragon Lore.

It’s not as expensive as the big dogs, clean, eccentric, and virtually every player loves it.

It’s one of the AWP skins that catches your eye when you decide to make your first “big green” purchase.

Maybe that’s why we all have such a soft spot for the Asiimov because it’s almost always been there.

It’s almost seen as the grandfather of AWP skins.

Is it the definitive “best” AWP skin in CS2, though? No one can say for sure, but it’s definitely up there among the greats.

AWP Dragon Lore

The Dragon Lore is CS2’s most recognizable skin, and there is no need to explain why.

Every CS2 player, man, woman, or child dreamed of owning such a skin.

The problem is that you would have to explain to your mom or partner why you spent at least $6000 on an in-game skin.

The Dragon Lore is not just iconic. It is the symbol that represents the CS2 skin community.

The Dragon Lore is genuinely an excellent design. The skin works perfectly.

Although it has and will continue to have a lot of hype, is it the “best” AWP skin?

It definitely has its supporters and haters, but overlooking the price, it’s obviously an excellent CS2 AWP skin.

AWP Hyper Beast

There aren’t enough of these around anymore.

If you were playing back in 2015, you remember how cool it was to see one of these in-game.

The Hyper Beast is an excellent AWP design, with the vibrant colors being quite a fresh take on a Counter-Strike skin back in the day.

To be honest, it’s how few of them you can see in-game nowadays, especially since they are pretty cheap and don’t look bad in used condition.

Guess all of the CS2 kids have come in and forgotten skins were already around over 10 years before, and the Fever Dream isn’t an “oldie” skin.

This is easily one of the best affordable AWPs in CS2, but probably not the best if budget is no issue.

AWP Printstream

We must mention the Printstream as it’s one of the new cool kids on the block.

Another CS2 skin joined the Printstream family, and surprise, surprise – it works on the AWP too.

Virtually everyone loves the Prinstream skins, and it’s the same story with the AWP.

Sleek white and black combo with fluorescent touches – what’s not to like?

In our minds, though, the M4A1-S and the USP-s still take the cake.

The Printstream really is an all-rounder – not ludicrously expensive, good-looking, and fits any loadout, but it’s tough to call it the best.

AWP Gungnir

Now, this is an AWP skin; look at the beauty and gracefulness it provides us with.

You couldn’t even make this thing look bad, not with all the battle-scarred Mogul gloves in the world could damage this thing’s reputation.

The blue, silver, and gray glossy combination works like no other.

Everybody freaks out when the Gungnir is spotted in-game, too. How can you not?

Aura-wise, this skin is on par with the Dragon Lore, taking its “spiritual” and “sacred” approach.

It does not have the nostalgia behind it like the Dragon Lore, but it certainly looks the part.

There is not one negative thing said about this skin, other than from people who maybe don’t like blue (and those who don’t have $10k lying around).

The Gungnir is definitely one of the most hyped and best AWP skins in CS2.
