Team Vitality’s run of dominance has continued into the BLAST Austin Major, more or less, and NaVi is likely set to be its next victim.

Outside a shocker best-of-one loss to Legacy in the group stage, Vitality has looked largely untouchable in Austin. That continues what was a monthslong run of exceptional play. Nemiga Gaming, 3DMAX, and Virtus.pro all took decisive losses from Vitality. Does NaVi have any chance of avoiding that same fate?

There isn’t much left to say regarding Team Vitality’s dominance this season. Since winning IEM Katowice, the team has looked nearly unstoppable. On the rare occasion where the team has shown a hint of weakness, it has rallied back and made a point of emphasizing how good it is.

That’s played out in the BLAST Austin Major. After a comparatively shaky showing in IEM Dallas and a loss to Legacy in its first game at the tournament, the team wasted no time in earning a spot in the playoffs. The team hasn’t really done anything new in the tournament, though Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Robin “ropz” Kool have both been performing at a particularly high level.

By comparison, NaVi has largely looked like the same team it has been throughout 2025 in Austin. It put on a generally strong showing in Stage 3, beating the teams it should have while taking a standard tough loss to Team Spirit. That’s not a good sign for the team’s chances here.

NaVi will need to really bring something special here to get a win over Vitality. Given Vitality’s strength in 2025 and the teams’ head-to-head history, it would be a true shocker if this ended in any way other than a clean Vitality win. Vitality is expected to win the Austin Major, and that path runs through NaVi.
