Since its inception in 2024, the Esports World Cup has become one of the most popular esports tournaments in the world, with over 20 games hosting tournaments during the event. In 2025, the tournament reached new heights with the addition of more games to its already impressive roster. The Esports World Cup has, on Dec 28, confirmed 23 games that will be part of the Esports World Cup in 2026.

The Esports World Cup is held every year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At this event, teams from around the world participate and strive to attain glory, bragging rights and a significant sum in prize money. During the 2025 season, the total prize pool of the tournament was over $70 million. Games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, and Honor of Kings hosted tournaments that each had a prize pool of over $2 million. EWC is considered an integral part of the esports roadmap for multiple games. It has also added many events to the already-packed esports betting menus of most online sportsbooks.

One more game set to be announced

Interestingly, EWC has also announced that one more games will be a part of the upcoming EWC 2026.  On December 18th, EWC announced the addition of game like Tekken 8, Rocket League and Fortnite Reload: Elite Series. With Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund recently acquiring EA Sports, one can suspect that we may see more EA games included in the event. This could include games like NHL, Madden NFL, and F1, which are more sports-based. Another game that could be seen as part of the tournament is Marvel Rivals. With its first official esports season concluding this year, the popular hero shooter would be a cherry-on-the-cake addition to an already extraordinary line-up of games.
